But it seems Rodgers didn’t want to fight, as he tried to clarify the air going around.

Aaron Rodgers, in his last week’s appearance on the Pat McAfee show, called out Kimmel’s name while talking about Epstein’s list. This fumed the comedian, and he shared a tweet ‘threatening’ the quarterback to drag him into the courtroom. Since then, many people, including Stephen A. Smith, have asked Rodgers to apologize to Kimmel.

However, Jimmy Kimmel, in his further statements, called A-Rod “arrogant” and said that he knows he won’t apologize and that he isn’t expecting an apology from him either. He further shared a 7-minute monologue on his and Rodgers’ controversy, but the QB is back with his clarification for Kimmel to hear.

Rodgers began by recalling their history, dating back to jokes Kimmel made about his immunization during the COVID-19 pandemic. He expressed disagreement with Kimmel’s statement about unvaccinated individuals not deserving treatment. Despite Kimmel’s remarks, the QB clarified that he wasn’t offended by differing opinions as he understood Kimmel was a comedian.

The discussion shifted to the current feud, with Rodgers referencing his statement made about Kimmel in the last episode of the show. He said, “I was referring to the fact that if there is a list, which again hasn’t come out yet, this was just a deposition. I totally understand how serious allegations of pedophilia would be. So for him to be upset about that, I get it. I’m not stupid enough. Even though you think I’m an idiot and you made a lot of comments about my intelligence, but I’m not stupid enough to accuse you of that with absolutely zero evidence. That’s ridiculous.”

However, Kimmel’s name was not mentioned in the unsealed records related to Epstein’s 2015 civil case.

Kimmel threatened legal action in response to Rodgers’ comments, emphasizing the seriousness of accusing someone in such a serious matter. Kimmel also critiqued Rodgers for his belief in conspiracy theories and his overestimation of his abilities, attributing it to the “Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities.”
