Although the Raiders managed to secure their second win of the season against the Browns this week, all may not be well in Las Vegas. As Antonio Pierce may have teased a trade, that could happen down the line. Him liking a post that talks about Davante Adams getting traded has led to questions being raised about his potential future.

Adams was absent from Sunday’s clash after a hamstring injury suffered in Thursday’s practice. His absence may not have hurt the Raiders this week, as they managed to scramble over the line with 20-16 on board. However, when asked to express his thoughts on the Up & Adams show about Pierce liking a trade post, the Raiders WR said, “I haven’t heard from him (Pierce)… I don’t really know exactly what that’s all about.”

Well, even we don’t know the possible reason behind Pierce liking Adams’ post, as he also remained bamboozled. When asked about whether he remains interested to know the reason behind it, Adams replied, “Yeah. I do.” After three games into the season, Adams has faired pretty well as he caught 18 catches for 209 yards, adding one touchdown. However, there is a clause in his contract that runs until 2026.

There is an option of “out” after this season that may have prompted Pierce to like Sports Illustrated’s post regarding Adams’ move away from the Raiders. Moreover, the trade window is still open until Nov 4th. Will the Raiders take advantage of that and show Adams the door? For now, there isn’t any concrete news regarding his possible exit, but considering the problems other teams like Chiefs have in their receiver room. Adams could find himself being a part of a new franchise by the end of November.

Davante Adams leans towards joining another franchise as Raiders find possible suitors

Raiders suffered an embarrassing loss at the hands of the Panthers in week 3, which led to Pierce claiming, “some players did not show up.” Among those players were Adams, who finished with four catches and 40 yards, thereby condemning the Raiders to a 36-22 loss. After that dismal performance, the Raiders WR stated, “I feel like, I don’t know, this is tough for me to identify that. I’m not sure.”

Although there could be questions regarding his future in Las Vegas, ESPN’s insider Adam Schefter doesn’t believe that Adams’ future is in threat, “I don’t see the Raiders trading him. I don’t see that happening. Not right now, surely not to the Chiefs. The Raiders got multiple inquiries this summer and didn’t even entertain the conversation.” Even though Schefter remained confident regarding the Raiders’ stance on Adams, there are teams monitoring his situation.

As the latest update says, the Raiders are open to trading Davante Adams. The franchise is reaching out to multiple teams to find out a possible solution. One of the first candidates would be the Chiefs, as they suffered a major loss this week after Rashee Rice got sidelined with a knee injury. Well, considering Travis Kelce’s dismal start to the season, Adams’ addition to the Chiefs squad may give them a much-needed boost. Even the Jets could be a possible destination, considering the relationship he shares with Aaron Rodgers. Considering the latest update on Adams’ future, we might see him wearing a new jersey in the next few weeks.
