The Philadelphia Eagles have found themselves in tough territory this week – anxiously refreshing their news feeds for updates on one of their star players. DeVonta Smith, the electrifying wide receiver who’s become a crucial piece of the Eagles’ offensive puzzle, has been dancing in and out of practice like a leaf in the autumn wind. Smith missed practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and now fans are worried about whether he will make it back to the game or be ruled out.

Beat reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks earlier posted a short video clip of Smith on his X account mentioning he might have a chance to play the game. Devonta was seen rocking yellow shoes and headphones in the video, looking pretty chill while stretching. However, Tracy Wolfson, on her X account, has now confirmed that Devonta won’t be playing in today’s game, “DeVonta Smith OUT for the #Eagles today.

DeVonta Smith has had a solid season with 41 receptions and four touchdowns, but his recent performance raises questions about the Eagles‘ ability to secure a win without him. What are the latest injury updates for the Eagles?

After Devonta Smith was sidelined, the Eagles now face a tough game this Sunday with some key players out due to injuries. Darius Slay (cornerback), hasn’t been on the practice field this week after a concussion in last Sunday’s game against the Rams. Izzy Rogers is now expected to replace him.

The Eagles also had to make some roster moves due to Johnny Wilson’s hamstring injury, promoting former wide receiver Paris Campbell to the active roster on Saturday. This season, the six-year veteran has made six catches for 30 yards and a touchdown over four games with the Eagles.

Ben VanSamarren was also promoted from the practice squad, while the team placed injured the linebacker on the reserved list. Additionally, the third tight end spot has been assigned to TE C.J. Uzomah, with Grant Calcaterra and Dallas Goddard ahead of him.

Despite being listed as doubtful with a knee issue, Sydney Brown is also playing for the Eagles today. With all these changes, it’ll be interesting to see if the Eagles can pull off a win against the Ravens today!
