No, this was not a bad statement; rather, the WR commended the quarterback in this fashion. Bateman noted that Lamar Jackson is so talented on the field that it sometimes is difficult to keep up. Although, the WR is bothered by this, but he also finds it amazing: “The longer you continue to do something, it continues to slow down. Lamar’s been in the NFL for a long time now … Being cautious with the ball. Overall, he’s grown as a football player. I think it’s showing right now”

Why great, you ask? Actually, as a result of the quarterback’s outstanding performance, Bateman is pushing himself to improve as well. And obviously, everyone likes to improve.

Lamar Jackson and Rashod Bateman have always been a magical duo

The Baltimore Ravens hit the lottery when they signed a talent like Jackson. The only issue for them was that a QB of such caliber required a superb wide receiver as well. Rashod Bateman stepped in and handled the problem. Since then, the WR-QB tandem has been the team’s backbone, smashing any defense that comes their way.

The duo has played 35 games together and has had outstanding performances. And numbers paint an incredible picture for them, as Bateman has 97 receptions for 1421 yards with Jackson. The WR’s impressive stats don’t end there; he also has six touchdowns. This demonstrates how effective the combination has been on the field and with their team.
