Jacksonville Jaguars Join Cincinnati Bengals for Jalen McMillan Chase as Visit Schedule With Top-30 WR Ahead of NFL Draft 2024

The 89th edition of the NFL draft is on its horizon. The 2024 draft is scheduled to be held from 25th April to 27th April in Detroit, Michigan at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza. Football teams and GMs are gearing up to pick the best players to chase their NFL aspirations. Similarly, Jacksonville Jaguars is following the footsteps of The Cincinnati Bengals in order to add Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan, as they also caught him as a perfect NFL prospect.

Jalen McMillan, hailed as the standout WR prospect in the 2024 draft class, impressed NFL scouts with a 4.47 40-yard dash time and a 10-foot-7 broad jump. His remarkable skills earned him the 208th rank out of 3090 Wide Receivers from 1987 to 2024. With a dazzling score of 9.33 #RAS out of 10.00, teams view him as a top pick for WR. Following interest from the Arizona Cardinals and the Cincinnati Bengals, the Jacksonville Jaguars have also reached out to McMillan, inviting him for a top-30 visit.

Jacksonville Jaguars is currently pursuing its pitch to find the right Wide Receiver. According to ML Football, Jalen McMillan is all set to make his visit with the Jaguars. Through a Twitter post, ML football announced the news, captioning the post as “Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan is scheduled for a TOP-30 visit with the Jacksonville #Jaguars this week, sources tell  @_MLFootball.McMillan is projected to be a top-45 pick.”

However, ML Football also confirmed his visit with the Cincinnati Bengals, sharing a post on X handle. Taking to its official Twitter handle, @ MLFootball, it captioned the post “Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan is scheduled for a TOP-30 visit with the Cincinnati #Bengals next week, sources tell @_MLFootball McMillan, expected to be a top-45 pick, has 5 Top-30 visits already.”

Jacksonville Jaguars has two picks (No. 96 and No. 212 )  in the third and  6 rounds respectively in the 2024 NFL Draft and looking to add WR Jalen to its squad. While the Cincinnati Bengals have better picks than the Jaguars, Cincinnati received a total of 10 picks in the NFL Draft 2024. Both the teams are all set to go with Jalen McMillan as they invited him. But, it will be quite interesting to see which team will have WR Jalen McMillan.

Reportedly, Jalen McMillan has 5 Top-30 visits already on his plate, though he recently made his official  top-30 visits with draft prospects with the Arizona Cardinals.

Senior Draft Analyst with The Draft Network, Damian Parson also applauded McMillan’s potential, remarking, “Overall, McMillan is a talented prospect who projects best as a versatile slot receiver at the next level.”

Apart from that, he also appreciated his remarkable speed and explosiveness towards the football, stating that, “His route-running, speed, and creative usage will create multiple avenues for his OC to get him the football. I expect him to be a three-level slot with chain-moving ability in the short/quick game. He’s reliable.”

As per the scouting report for Washington WR, McMillan has exceptional skills, great flexibility, speed, excellent stop/start ability, spectacular hand-eye coordination, and clear vision. Hence, it doesn’t come as a surprise, to see the widespread recognition of his capabilities as a WR.
