The Jacksonville Jaguars’ three-game streak ended at EverBank Stadium after a frustrating 20-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Early sparks faded into missed chances, and what looked like another statement win slipped through their hands. So naturally, everyone waited to hear from head coach Liam Coen, and he didn’t hold back.

After the final whistle, Coen faced the cameras and owned it straight up. “It’s on me,” Liam Coen said. “It’s an undisciplined operation at the moment, and it’s got to get fixed, it’s a great opportunity this week to get it fixed.” You could hear the frustration in his tone. Still, it wasn’t all bad early on.
Trevor Lawrence opened the scoring with a slick 21-yard strike to Brian Thomas Jr., all off a perfectly disguised fake screen. The drive looked clean, confident, and creative. But then, the tide flipped. The Seahawks caught fire, scoring 20 straight points to flip the script. Meanwhile, injuries didn’t help.

Coen confirmed that linebacker Devin Lloyd couldn’t finish due to leg tightness.

“Came in in the second half, it tightened up on him” Coen said. “We tried to loosen up. He tried to go, in the second half. Just couldn’t do it.”
It’s a setback for a defense already dealing with communication issues, and Lloyd’s absence was clearly felt down the stretch. And then the kicking game took center stage for all the wrong reasons.
Second-year kicker Cam Little had a rough night, missing his first career extra point and a 50-yarder later on.
“Look, he knows he’s got to make kicks, and he’s as hard on himself as anybody. I still have a lot of trust and confidence in Cam. I think we’ve just got to go make some of these kicks in real-life games,” the head coach said.
However, Coen did got a warning before the game. Now let’s see what Coen’s star QB has to say about this loss.
Trevor Lawrence explains Week 6 loss to Seahawks
Just like coach Liam Coen, Trevor Lawrence didn’t sugarcoat what went wrong on Sunday. The Jags’ leader stood at the podium and admitted the obvious — they weren’t sharp.
“We obviously didn’t play our best ball today. A lot of mistakes. A lot of self-inflicted wounds,” Lawrence said.
He sounded frustrated but focused. The message was clear — too many penalties, too many small errors that snowballed into a game they could’ve controlled. Statistically, Lawrence did his part.
He went 27-for-42, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Brian Thomas Jr. led The Teal’s receivers with 90 yards on eight grabs, showing promise yet again. However, the ground game never found rhythm. Travis Etienne managed just 27 yards on 12 carries, and the Jags finished with only 59 total rushing yards.
Even with longer drives and more possession time than Seattle, Jacksonville couldn’t turn those chances into points. Ten penalties for 76 yards hurt, especially in the red zone. While Coen took the blame publicly, Lawrence spread the responsibility evenly.
“It’s on all of us… all of us looking ourselves in the mirror,” he said.
Accountability wasn’t a buzzword — it was a challenge to the locker room. Looking ahead, Lawrence knows the fix isn’t complicated, it’s consistency.

“You can only coach it so much,” he said, emphasizing focus and execution.
The message to Duval was simple: stop beating themselves. So let’s see how Coen and co turn up in the Week 7.
