NFL insider Adam Schefter dropped the bomb on ‘X,’ announcing, “Jaguars placed WR Christian Kirk on the injured reserve list due to his core injury. He’s out a minimum of four weeks.” Kirk went down with the injury during Jacksonville’s opening drive against the Bengals, going all out for a 26-yard pass from Lawrence. He hit the turf after a touch by Bengals’ safety, Jordan Battle.

If it’s a six-to-eight-week setback, Kirk’s sitting out the regular season’s final five games. The Jaguars, hanging at 8-4, desperately need a W post-Bengals letdown to secure that golden ticket to the playoffs. But with both their A-listers nursing wounds, it’s like navigating a minefield in muddy cleats.
