The Jacksonville Jaguars’ upset win over the San Francisco 49ers should have been the story of Week 4. A 26-21 victory on the road. Sealed by an 87-yard punt return from Parker Washington and a defense that rattled Brock Purdy into two interceptions, marked the franchise’s first-ever win in San Francisco.

Instead, it was Jaguars head coach Liam Coen and 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh who dominated headlines. And all thanks to a heated postgame clash that spilled onto live television. As players filtered toward the tunnel, Fox cameras caught Coen bypassing Saleh’s handshake before circling back for a fiery face-to-face. Jaguars lineman Robert Hainsey held Coen back. While 49ers staff did the same for Saleh.
Ashley Coen, Liam’s wife, added fuel when she reposted a clip from Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast to her Instagram story, captioning it with: “Screaming!!!!” The brothers didn’t hold back. “We got a coach fight,” Travis started, setting the stage. Jason jumped in instantly: “Who doesn’t love a good coach fight?” The older Kelce brother couldn’t resist poking fun at the spectacle. Saying it’s the kind of sideline drama that makes the NFL impossible to script.

Travis shifted the focus: “Robert Saleh accused Liam Coen of having an advanced sign-stealing system. Interesting.” Jason wasn’t buying it. “Dude, f*** off. Everybody in the NFL steals signals to a certain extent. I’m not buying this bull****.”
He doubled down with brutal honesty: “If you’re dumb enough to do this and every time go to cover four, you’re a f****** idiot. What do you want me to say?” Also, backing his brother, Travis added, “I’m calling that out. I’m telling everyone on the offense. Cover four. I’m screaming it.”

Jason then widened the lens, mocking the drama itself. “If you’re on the sideline as a coach and every time you do this in, like, a two-minute situation or whatever, it’s whatever blitz; that’s on you, mother******. I gotta say, dude, I love coaches fighting with each other.**”

Travis couldn’t resist picturing a better ending. “I wish he would have just looked at me and been like, Duvall. That would have been the best.” Jason laughed: “Like, don’t even act like a hard bch. Just be like, Duvall.” Travis delivered the closer: “I’d just troll his ***.” With one last jab from Jason: “That would have been so much better. Nice job signaling today, b****.
The audio of what actually was said wasn’t safe for broadcast. But the raw version quickly spread online. “Keep my name out of your fcking mouth,” Coen barked. Saleh fired back: “I’ll f*** your world up. You don’t wanna f*** with me. I will f******end your f****** life.”
The incident traced back to Saleh’s midweek comments. When he called Jacksonville’s ability to read signals “a really advanced, legal sign-stealing system.” While framed as praise, Coen bristled at being singled out.
Publicly, Coen later downplayed the exchange, but privately, the words cut deep. Saleh himself declined to expand, leaving speculation and viral clips to fuel the fire.
Kyle Shanahan on the drama between Liam Coen and Robert Saleh
Even 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan tried to pour water on the flames. “I don’t think you should be that sensitive about it, but it is what it is. I’m not too worried about it,” he said. Shanahan argued Saleh’s words were intended as a compliment. Not any dig. “We don’t totally care if coaches are pissed off. It has no effect on the game. It’s not illegal. He said nothing illegal about it.”

Lost in the chaos was Jacksonville’s actual on-field performance. Moreover, Devin Lloyd’s two interceptions of Purdy brought the Jaguars’ takeaway total to a league-leading 13. But Arik Armstead, a former 49er, stripped Purdy late. Only to seal the win with Foyesade Oluokun’s recovery. Washington’s punt return provided the spark, while the defense finished the job.
The victory confirmed Jacksonville’s rise as a legitimate AFC contender. But if Ashley Coen’s Instagram reaction is any indication, this saga isn’t going away soon.
