Trevor Lawrence’s rushing touchdown helped the Jacksonville Jaguars stay in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but it came with a scare. Just before the play, right tackle Anton Harrison went down and limped off the field. Chuma Edoga stepped in to take over at right tackle.

Harrison has been one of the most reliable players on Jacksonville’s offensive line this season. He is steady, consistent, and important to keeping Lawrence protected. Losing him, even for a short time, could throw off the rhythm of the offense. For now, all eyes are on the sideline to see if Harrison will return tonight.

The injury took place in the third quarter, right after Travis Etienne picked up a first down. On the very next play, Anton Harrison went down. And while Harrison was able to walk off with help, it didn’t look great. Maybe not catastrophic, but when you’ve got someone playing at his level, any missed time hurts. And for Liam Coen, it’s the last thing he needed.

You could easily argue Harrison’s been the most reliable piece on that offensive line this season. According to Pro Football Focus, he’s allowed just four pressures all season, tied for the second fewest in the entire league among right tackles. That’s insane consistency for a guy still early in his career. This was supposed to be a big third-year leap for the former first-rounder out of Oklahoma, and so far, he’s delivered on every front.

If you dig into the numbers, the dominance jumps off the page. Three Jaguars offensive linemen rank in the top four at their positions in pressure percentage allowed. And guess who’s sitting third? Anton Harrison. He’s a massive reason why Trevor Lawrence has only been sacked three times in four games.

Every single starter on that line ranks in the top half of their position in pressure rate allowed. That’s elite territory. The problem? This might also be one of the most snakebitten offensive lines in football right now.

Jaguars’ offensive line injury crisis

Heading into the game, half the O-line was already patched together with tape. Harrison himself was questionable with an elbow injury he’s been managing for a couple of weeks. When the Jags dropped their Thursday injury report, five linemen were listed as limited.

Three of them were starters: Ezra Cleveland (concussion/ankle), Patrick Mekari (knee), and Harrison (elbow). All three were banged up in the week 4 game against San Francisco.

Even the backups aren’t catching a break. Wyatt Milum and Chuma Edoga were also listed as questionable. At some point, it stops being bad luck and just feels cursed. Because when your starters and your next-best options are both popping up on the same injury report, depth stops mattering.

And it’s not just the O-line either. The defense took a hit, too. Travon Walker didn’t practice after undergoing a minor wrist procedure. Liam Coen said he’s “day-to-day,” which, let’s be honest, doesn’t tell us anything. There’s only so much you can do when it comes to injuries, but Liam Coen will have a big dark cloud looming if Harrison of one of the starting linemen, is out for a long stretch.
