There are two battles at EverBank Stadium on October 6, 2025. The 2-2 Kansas City Chiefs are against the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars, and there’s also another musical battle hosted by the Jaguars in an electrifying and nostalgic halftime show. It’s “Duuuval Duel,” which will feature guitarists Erik Lundgren and Curt Towne.

This is a part of the build-up to the Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks the Red, White and Blue fundraiser concert on November 8. The event will support a non-profit organization, St. Michael’s Soldiers, dedicated to helping U.S. Armed Forces members and their families.
The Curt Towne Band will open for Lynyrd Skynyrd on November 8. The tickets are already available. He will battle against Lundgren, who is the lead guitarist for the Johnny Van Zant Band.

“It’s not a concert,” Towne shared. “He’s going to do a solo; I’m going to do a solo. We’ll be going back and forth. Jaxson DeVille (team mascot), have mercy on us.”
He has played to massive crowds of 25,000 or even 40,000 fans before. But for the Jaguars vs. Chiefs game (find our bold predictions here), he might see one of the biggest yet in the stadium, which can accommodate more than 67,000 people.

The organisation is also carrying forward the Home Grown Kindness Project, created in memory of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Johnny Van Zant’s daughter, Michelle Van Zant, who passed away from cancer in 2022.

This event feels perfectly timed, with both teams coming off huge wins in their previous games to battle against each other. The Chiefs dominated the Baltimore Ravens, while the Jaguars handed the San Francisco 49ers their first loss of the season. Both teams are eager to win in front of the massive crowd.

“Huge,” the coach said when asked about his expectations from the crowd. “Like I said, the guys have worked their tails off since, really, we got here. These guys have done everything we’ve asked them to do from that standpoint, and to have the support of the community at the game, making it as loud as humanly possible, will be awesome. I mean, it’s just a great op for our city, for our organization for sure.”
Now, adding to the excitement, the Jaguars are not only to host an epic halftime performance but are also set to kickoff the game in a unique style with rising R&B group CitiLimitz.

CitiLimitz to sing the National Anthem at the Chiefs-Jaguars Game
The group, hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee, shared the exciting news on their official Threads account. “Check us out this Monday night singing the National Anthem for the @jaguars x #Chiefs game at 8 pm est,” the post read. “TUNE IN FAM! This is a big look for us! Big thank you to the @jaguars for inviting us to be a part of their #Mondaynightfootball Huge honor and blessing!”
They have quite an impressive fan following. This year, they also appeared on the 20th season of America’s Got Talent. The group has 18-year-old Deshundre (Dre) and 17-year-old twins Amari (A.T.) and Amarion (Marion).

Their musical roots trace back to the church, where their grandfather, a pastor, helped shape their vocal talents. By the time they were 12, the trio had officially formed CitiLimitz, and it wasn’t long before they made a name for themselves with a performance on The Ellen Show back in 2019.

Their career gained momentum when they signed with Republic Records/UMG, thanks to Sound of Young America CEO Kevin Wales. Since then, CitiLimitz has steadily built a fanbase, releasing singles like “Say No More,” “The Most” (2025), and “Wherever You Like” (2024).
Now, this NFL debut opportunity could open doors to new heights. For CitiLimitz and other performers, this is an incredible chance to win over new fans, while the Jaguars will look to strengthen the faith their fans have in them.
