The Eagles QB is great at seeing these things on the field, which no one notices. In the championship game, Saquon Barkley dashed 60 yards for a touchdown on Philadelphia’s first play. But just before that, Jalen Hurts had changed his position. After the snap, Hurts handed the ball to Barkley to rush for a touchdown. Result? The Eagles landed in the Super Bowl game. Fans would expect a similar performance in the Big Game. But before that, some of the Hurts’s comments are creating a buzz.

On Feb 2, Jalen Hurts appeared on a podcast with former QB Cam Newton. Newton was recalling his NFL days and his MVP snub, “I remember, my only go around to say, ‘I was heartbroken’ is to really there weren’t words got the MVP was. The Golden Child of that time but I didn’t win, vulnerably speaking, I cried.” Then the host continued to ask Jalen Hurts, “You got a second opportunity at this, what’s your mentality going into this game?” And Hurts’s reply was great, but he slightly embarrassed Newton.

Hurts replied, “Focus. focus and finish. I can relate to you on that, not the cry,” they laughed and continued, “but I can relate to you on coming up short after giving it everything that you had. But you know in this game sometimes it’s just not enough but honestly, it’s not your turn yet.” Well, when Hurts said ‘I can relate to you,’ Newton felt a bit embarrassed, and he smiled. Hurts can’t forget how the Eagles were short of three points (38-35) to win Super Bowl 57. It was this close.

And you wanna know what he said when asked about the February 12, 2023 SB loss against the Chiefs? Jalen Hurts replied, “Next question.” That’s it. Fans must believe that the reason he is not talking about the loss could be heartbreak. But most importantly, the other reason could be that they don’t want to think about those mistakes even after overcoming them.

Jalen Hurts’ take on the NFL hate

Jalen Hurts has been facing backlash for his poor performance in the season, despite leading them to the championship game. He stunned everyone in the win against the Commanders, with one touchdown and a 71.4 completion percentage. But he got sacked 38 times in the regular season and 11 times in the playoffs. The other reason was his ‘straitjacket’ comment on the HC Nick Sirianni. Also, fans haven’t forgotten the Super Bowl loss they faced two years ago.

Speaking about the criticism he has received, Jalen Hurts said, “I feel like everyone has their own opinion. I think success and all of those things are defined by the person and what they consider success. And here we are, going to the Super Bowl again, having an opportunity in front of us to handle business and finish the job.” Fans read between the lines and believe Jalen Hurts is fully locked in.

Well, the chatter won’t stop whether you win or lose. The best way for Jalen Hurts to silence his critics would be by winning Super Bowl LIX. Let’s see what happens in New Orleans. But what do you think—who has the better chance of winning this Super Bowl?
