Things haven’t been going to plan for the Philadelphia Eagles for some time now. As with every team in the playoffs, they’d also want to put the regular season behind them. But their star QB Jalen Hurts is dealing with an injury and isn’t sure what the future holds for him.

QB Hurts injured his finger by dislocating it in the first half vs Giants. And even though the Eagles decided not to bring him on for the second half, it seems the damage was already done. But can the 25-year-old step up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Jalen Hurts: Hurting with losses and injury

The Eagles have managed to lose 5 of their last 6 games, but in their latest loss against the New York Giants, they suffered a magnanimous blow to their postseason hopes. And as Hurts told the media before the all-important game against the Bucs, his willingness to carry on might have been detrimental.

“Obviously, leaving that game and attempting to go back in that game probably wasn’t physically the best idea”, said Hurts. But he is not the one to dwell on the past and is looking forward to the next one.

“I can assure you everything’s progressing in the right way”, said Hurts to the media. And the Philly fans would hope to have a fit QB in their ranks. They look forward to a rematch from Week 3, a game in which not only Hurts, but the Eagles excelled as a unit.

The Eagles look to sweep it up

In the week 3 matchup between the Eagles and the Bucs, the Philadelphia team convincingly won 25-11 on the road. The Eagles dominated the possession and holding of the ball, while also covering more yards than their opponents. But the wild card game will be a different story.
