The Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen appreciated the Philadelphia Eagles for their heavily criticized Tush Push move. After gaining mixed reactions, the Eagles tush push move is anticipated to be banned from the league. The NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, and other stakeholders arranged a meeting earlier this month to discuss players’ safety. However, in the meeting, the Tush Push move was one of the safety agendas.
Despite all the controversy behind the move, the former Eagles offensive coordinator, and the Colts’ current HC, who is up for ‘the coach of the year’ this season, hailed the Eagles’ team for the way they execute the Brotherly Shove.

Steichen commented, “I will say that they do a heck of a job, of doing that. And it starts up front with Kelce and Jalen and the guards, the way they get low, and create that push uh is phenomenal. Obviously, they’ve been doing it at a high level for the last two years. I know we’ve had some wrinkles off it they do wrinkles off it steel, but it’s pretty impressive to see every time they do it.”
His comments strayed away from the controversy around the move, but the HC did not shy away from praising the Philly team for their control over the implementation of the Brotherly shove. Steichen was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles when he and Nick Sirianni created the Tush Push move. Now, with the Colts, Steichen is once again making his presence known with the correct execution of his players.

Steichen reviving the Colts
The Indianapolis Colts ended their 2022 NFL season with a record of four victories and twelve defeats. After the previous season, the Colts went on to change their coaching head, with Shane Steichen making his entry in 2023. Since then, the Colts have been showing promise in their games, and are one of the top contenders for the playoffs in the AFC. Following the Colts’ staggering performance, Steichen is one of the top contenders for the NFL coach of the year in the 2023 season.
In the current season, the Colts are boasting eight victories and six defeats so far. Under Steichen’s guidance, the fate of the Colts reversed desirably. The Colts have three more games to go before the playoffs, and their chances of qualifying for it are relatively high. They are trailing behind the Jacksonville Jaguars holding a similar record of 8-6. However, only time will unfold what Steichen’s debut season as an HC looks like by the time we reach the season’s end.
