It’s really starting to feel like the Philadelphia Eagles’ year and not just on the field. The boys in midnight green are winning in their personal lives, too. First, Jalen Hurts flew under the radar and quietly tied the knot this spring with his longtime girlfriend, Bry Burrows, after popping the question in Denver last year. And now, it looks like his right-hand man on the field is following in his footsteps. This time, though, the celebration wasn’t so hush-hush. The WR room just got a lot more romantic, and there were Grammy-level vocals involved.

Eagles’ AJ Brown just raised the bar for NFL proposals, like, way up in the clouds. The Super Bowl LIX champion on May 3 popped the big question to his longtime girlfriend, Kelsey Riley. And he didn’t just do it with flowers and candles. Brown had the Four Seasons hotel in Center City, Philadelphia, reserved for his big day. The pastel flowers, the grand piano, and the huge diamond ring, AJ made it as grand as his Super Bowl win. And to make it even more special, the wideout brought in none other than Academy Award winner John Legend to sing live at the engagement.

Brown’s grand proposal quickly went viral on social media, with fans pouring in congratulations to the couple. But it was not only the fans who were impressed with AJ’s grand proposal. Former Philly LB Emmanuel Acho also chimed in, praising the WR for setting the bar so high. Reposting Brown’s proposal video on his X, Acho wrote, “Philadelphia Eagles, A.J. Brown, just set the bar at the Heavens with this proposal. A live performance by @johnlegend, come on man! 🥹🥹. Congrats to A.J. & Kelsey 🥂“

Shortly after dropping his engagement video, AJ took to IG to share a couple of snaps from his big day. The 27-year-old simply dropped a “🤍🥂” in the caption.

As Brown popped the big question to his girlfriend, the moment was witnessed by all his close friends and family who were in attendance. The engagement video the wideout dropped featured his family members and his Philly teammates. Darius Slay, Isaiah Rodgers, DeVonta Smith, and others were a part of AJ’s big day. He decked up in a blue suit on his special day, while his fiancée looked stunning in a black gown. 

Kelsey and Brown have reportedly been together for three years now. It’s not known how the two met each other. In September 2022, Riley gave birth to the couple’s son, Arthur Juan Brown Jr.  AJ also has a daughter named Jersee from his previous relationship. The WR’s engagement snaps also featured a picture with both his kids. 

A graduate of Texas Southern University, Kelsey is a healthcare worker, according to her LinkedIn profile. She currently works at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas, as a patient access representative. Ever since the couple started dating in 2022, they have been quite smitten with each other. “I know where all my blessings come from. And that’s the way I remain humble. I got a cross on. That’s what’s important to me -and my daughter, my son, my girlfriend,” Brown once shared in an interview.

Well, with love in the air and John Legend on the keys, AJ Brown just turned a proposal into a full-blown fairytale moment, Philly style. What’s next, wedding vows at the Super Bowl?
