Ja’Marr Chase is on fire tonight against the Baltimore Ravens. He has successfully surpassed Isaac Curtis for the most 60+ yard TDs (11) in a Bengals uniform. Soon after his client reached this new feat, the WR’s manager didn’t waste any time in sending a strong message to the team’s owner Mike Brown.

Soon after the 24-year-old WR reached this impressive feat, his manager Caitlin Aoki posted on X(Previously known as Twitter), taking an indirect dig at the Bengals’ management. Her post read, “He keeps making my job easier lmao”.

Well, it’s quite clear that Aoki aimed this post at the Bengals’ hierarchy who refused to meet Chase’s demands when they sat down for the possible contract extension talks before the start of the season. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, people around the NFL expected the star WR would receive a contract like Cowboys‘ CeeDee Lamb or Vikings‘ Justin Jefferson. However, after the contract extension turned out to be fruitless, the 24-year-old bought a $50m insurance policy in case he suffered any injuries during the final year of his rookie contract with Cincinnati.

Although the team lost 34-35, Chase surely did give his all, hauling in 11 receptions for 264 yards and three touchdowns in Baltimore. And overall, in this season, the 2021 No.5 draft pick has made 66 receptions and 10 TDs for 981 yards. This kind of performance does surely justify Chase’s demand for a better wage rate, don’t you think?

Ja’Marr Chase calls out Joe Burrow for loss against Ravens

From 7-7 during the second quarter, to 35-34 at the end of the game, the Cincinnati Bengals bottled their chance to get back on the winning track. And following an impressive performance during the game, Ja’Marr Chase, now, has subtly blamed the team’s QB Jo Burrow for their loss on Thursday.

During the post-game interview, Chase took aim at Burrow while talking about their narrow defeat against the Ravens. He said that he “wanted the ball to win the game but sometimes Joe doesn’t see it.”  Talking about Burrow’s throw just sailed over the head of TE Tanner Hudson, Chase said Burrow could throw it to him. He said, “I am always open”.

Probably one of the best games of Chase’s career which ended in a defeat. Ouch that hurts, doesn’t it? But dwelling on the past or pointing fingers at each other won’t do them any good. Zac Taylor and his men must find a way to get over this disappointing defeat and plan for the rest of the season as they have seven more games in their hands and with maximum positive results in those, they might just be able to qualify for the playoffs.
