It will be back to the school for the Kelce brothers next month. Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce are returning to their alma mater for a special live edition of their New Heights podcast. They made the announcement on their podcast as they shared memories they had during their time at the University of Cincinnati.

In the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce revealed, “We are excited to officially announce we are doing a live show at the University of Cincinnati on April 11th, during alumni weekend. We are gonna be back hanging out with the football team and yeah it’s gonna be a fun time. Old historic Nippert Stadium.” The retired Eagles center then revealed that they had been thinking of a stadium show and decided to go with Cincinnati’s 40,000 capacity venue.

He continued, “So we were thinking about doing a stadium trip, we didn’t think there’d be any place better than the Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati.”

This iconic stadium is nestled in the heart of Cincinnati. And it holds a special place in the hearts of the Kelce brothers.“If you haven’t been to the Nippert Stadium, it’s a hidden gem in college football. Travis and I spent our entire careers practicing and playing games pretty much on that turf and in that stadium,” Jason Kelce said. The podcast will begin around 9 PM but will be preceded by the first-ever Great Lombaby Games.

To kick off the show, Jason and Travis will have a curated series of challenges for the newly unveiled ‘New Heights’ trophy, the Vince Lombaby. It will see two student body teams facing off – one made up of various campus athletes and one of collegiate academics. This friendly competition will be overseen by the Kelce brothers who will act as commentators and referees for each event.

The Great Lombaby Games will take place first from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by the live podcast following at the home of Cincinnati Bearcats. Moreover, Jason and Travis will donate a portion of gross ticket sales to Cincy Reigns, the official NIL collective of Cincinnati Athletics.

For the two brothers, a return to Nippert Stadium will be special. It’s more than just a stadium. It’s a place that houses a lot of sweat, tears, and unforgettable memories.

The brothers have a deep connection with Cincinnati as both turned out for Bearcats. Jason Kelce played for Cincinnati from 2006-2010, starting off as a linebacker before becoming an offensive lineman. During his tenure with the Bearcats, he earned two all-league selections and one league defensive MVP, recording 105 tackles (33 for loss) as a senior linebacker, and averaging 9.5 yards per carry as a running back. In 2011, the Philadelphia Eagles picked him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft and the rest is history.

Travis Kelce joined his brother at the University of Cincinnati in 2008 and played together in 2009.  After redshirting in 2008, he appeared in 11 games in 2009, playing at tight end and quarterback out of the Wildcat formation. After a standout senior season in 2012 where he finished with 45 receptions for 722 yards and eight touchdowns, the Kansas City Chiefs came calling in the third round of the 2013 NFL.
