In an extraordinary twist, former Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason Kelce disclosed an unusual loss: his Super Bowl LII ring vanished into a concoction of spaghetti, chili, and cheese. This peculiar incident unfolded during the ‘Great Lombaby Games’ at the University of Cincinnati, an event Kelce and his brother Travis were overseeing. The competition involved two inflatable paddling pools brimming with an odd mix of pasta, dairy, and spicy meat sauce, concealing a pair of socks—one with Kelce’s real Super Bowl ring and the other with a replica.

A report was lodged with the University of Cincinnati police to address the disappearance of Kelce’s cherished ring. Kayla Follmuth, a brand director at Wave Sports + Entertainment—the entity behind “New Heights,” filed the police report. This event took place on April 12, right after the podcast event that saw the ring go missing.

The police report classified the item as “lost property” rather than stolen and estimated its value at around $100,000. Volunteers rallied to recover the ring, with their efforts being covered by a WLWT anchor who eventually had to admit defeat, stating,Jason Kelce, we’re sorry. It’s gone.”

Despite the unfortunate loss, Kelce himself seemed to maintain a surprisingly upbeat attitude about the situation.

Jason Kelce not too sad about losing his SB ring

When Jason Kelce publicly disclosed the loss of his Super Bowl ring, he initially seemed to take the incident lightly. The official New Heights X account posted a clip from the podcast discussing the lost ring, humorously noting, “We might’ve taken the ‘Jason lost his ring’ bit too far this time.” Jason’s response to this tweet revealed a mix of frustration and blame directed toward his team’s handling of the event.

“Truly did not think the ring would go missing, still not sure how the New Heights team could have been so careless as to let this happen. I fully blame Jets Jake, he is the last person who saw it. I know from watching countless Law and Orders that means a whole lot,” Jason commented, his tone reflecting a blend of seriousness and a hint of jest about his reliance on crime show logic.

The Super Bowl ring remains unaccounted for, and this revelation was clearly a sore point for Travis Kelce, Jason’s brother. Travis expressed his dismay bluntly during their exchange: “What did you expect to happen? You’re such a f****ng imbecile. God dammit Jason,” showing his shock and frustration over the loss of such a valued item. Jason Kelce opened up about his next steps regarding the lost Super Bowl ring, “I mean, it’s just a hunk of metal and I’ll just have another one made, I think? They can do that right?” Jason mused about the possibility of getting a replacement.

With Jason no more playing in the NFL, he can’t even win another Super Bowl ring. The only way for him to get another original ring is to join a team as a coach and help that take that team to Super Bowl victory, which, considering Jason’s versatility, isn’t too far out of the question.
