Bromance, that’s the word everyone would probably use whenever Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are named together. See, there isn’t any guarantee that Rodgers will wear green and white again next season. With his future up in the air, the Jets veteran QB may have already played his last game for Gang Green. So, weighing on the slim chances of Rodgers coming back next season. Adams ensured he recreated something that he couldn’t do in Green Bay with Rodgers.

Despite the disappointing season with the Jets failing to break their 13-year playoff curse even after having a completely fit Aaron Rodgers. The four-time NFL MVP at least ended his troubled-filled Jets tenure with a bang. For the first time, and maybe for the last time, Rodgers threw 4 TDs to give the Jets Nation something to cheer about. And when it was all done and dusted. Rodgers and Adams were captured chatting while slowly making their way to the tunnel.

All we can say is that whatever the Jets Nation’s thoughts are on Rodgers, that moment right there with Davante can bring smiles to anyone’s face. Well, for Adams, it was more special as he brought an end to his jealousy, “I was a little bit jealous seeing him walk off with Randall (Cobb) out of Lambeau.” Like it’s true: Adams had already left Green Bay by then to join the Raiders. So Adams remembered how he had to walk off Lambeau all alone, “I actually walked off the field by myself.”

But Rodgers and Cobb still played another season and made Adams jealous with their viral photo of exiting Lambeau together. At that time, then-Raiders WR also shared their pic on his Instagram story. And captioned it with, “So much love for these 2…Changed my life.” Well, throughout those eight years in Green Bay, both Cobb and Rodgers played an integral part in making him the player Davante is right now. Rodgers was his QB for each of those eight seasons, while Randall Cobb was his mentor in the receiver room.

Now, despite all the memories he has garnered in New York. Will that be enough for Davante Adams to stay and prove his worth to the Jets Nation?

Davante Adams sends a clear message on chances of wearing green and white again next season

Don’t be surprised if Adams does end up following Rodgers to the Jets’ exit door. Judging by his thoughts after the end of their season last week, Adams did say that Rodgers’ status could impact his chances of staying back, “Yeah, for sure. I don’t know what his plans are yet and where that’s headed. But I would imagine it would have something to do with it.” See, Adams still has a contract that runs till 2026. And in each of those seasons, he will earn $35.64M.

But money isn’t really what Adams is looking for right now. The six-time Pro Bowler has already made his priorities clear on Up & Adams, “Obviously what’s most important is winning…” However, the Jets are still far away from delivering a winning season. They are soon going to hire a new head coach and also a new GM. So, there isn’t any guarantee that the Jets will instantly find success under new management. Now, as far as his own season goes. Adams didn’t enjoy a great reunion with Rodgers.

In those 11 games he played with his buddy, Davante only recorded 67 receptions for 854 receiving yards and only 7 TDs. Considering how things are moving in New York, only time will tell where Adams will play next season. Wherever it might be, at least Adams fulfilled his wish of walking off the field with Rodgers.
