A Blowout Loss! Well, that is the worst possible outcome the Jets could have thought of in Week 17. Gang Green had hoped to close the season on a positive note, but they received something even worse. The Bills smashed the team, and Sauce Gardner was visibly furious after the game. The CB was so frustrated that he sent a strong message that players would be checked following the loss. However, it appears that this statement has backfired, as Jeff Ulbrich is not pleased with it. Uh-oh, this does not seem good.

Looking at the situation, it appears that tension is developing in the Jets right now. On one hand, the CB Sauce Gardner who is embarrassed claims, “If you ask me that means it’s the end of the season, obviously, we’re not going to the playoffs, some people might be checked out.” But on the other hand, HC Ulbrich is not at all on the same page. According to reporter Rich Cimini, the HC does not feel that the players should be checked right now.

Cimini stated this in an X post where he revealed, “Ulbrich doesn’t agree with Sauce Gardner’s post-game opinion that some players were “checked out.” #Jets”

But why would Sauce Gardner want the players to be checked? Well, looking at it from the CB’s perspective, somewhere his comments are right. Gardner noted that the Bills are not a particularly difficult opponent for them. As the Jets defeated them last year and the year before that too. And even this year’s initial loss which they had against them was tight, 23-20. And suddenly a blowout loss like this is really bad and due to this, the CB have even claimed that they are not playing like a team. Oh man, he’s really furious.

And, while the 24-year-old is mad over this game, it appears like his rage was motivated by something else. Wait, is there another reason?

Sauce Gardner is not satisfied with the Jets’ more talented roaster

Despite the fact that 2024 is Gardner’s third year in the NFL, he appears to be a keen observer. After his frustrated comments about players being checked, the CB began to discuss how the Jets have changed in the last two years. The man discussed his debut season when they didn’t have a good roaster but they still beat the Bills. And now that they had a good roaster, they couldn’t do anything. So, what kind of strong roaster is this?

Sauce Gardner stated, “I know last year and the year before, we had a roster that wasn’t as talented as this roster but we found ways to beat the bills, we found ways to win. So, what’s stopping that now with a more talented roster.”

If we look at this game, Aaron Rodgers really struggled big time in the first three quarters. The QB completed 12 of 18 throws for 112 yards and two interceptions. This was the worst-case performance from him. And by the time Tyrod Taylor replaced Rodgers and entered in the fourth quarter, the game was already lost. Taylor still gave his all and managed two touchdowns but the Bills already had an enormous advantage.

The Jets have one more game remaining in the season, and they desperately need to win it in order to finish strong. But what do you guys think about Sauce Gardner’s statements? Do you think his frustration is right?
