The reporter also added, “Great that Jerry, Stephen, and Charlotte Jones flew Bates, wife Denise, and 17 other family members to Dallas. Bill is suffering from post-concussion syndrome.” That’s great news for those who remember the Cowboys era with ‘Bates’. The 63-year-old beast has played 15 seasons for the star from 1983 to 97. He has won many accolades, like being on the 1984 Pro Bowl roster along with winning Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII, and XXX. Bill Bates has also written an autobiography named Shoot for the Star.

Bill Bates, who has also been in the special teams head-coaching position, has more emotions than words for the Cowboys. When asked about Jerry Jones’ Cowboys, Bates said, “My dream was to shoot for the stars and try to play for the Cowboys and my dreams came true. Being a cowboy will stay with me until I pass away. That’s just the way it’s going to be.” That’s more than being a die-hard Cowboys fan.

Jerry Jones’ Cowboys expected to play Trey Lance

The Washington Commanders have landed at the AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys also expected to play the last game of the season with quarterback Trey Lance. The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared, “I’m told expect Trey Lance, their third-string quarterback for most of the season, to get some real reps, to get significant reps in this game.” But when asked about Cooper Rush, who replaced Dak Prescott also, Rapoport clarified that. He said, “Cooper Rush may still start, but Trey Lance is expected to get some reps.”

Lance has played only three games this season. Interestingly, he played against the Commanders game on November 24. Though in that game couldn’t do well, in total three games, Lance has completed 5 out of 7 attempted throws and has had one interception.

So, if Trey Lance is starting against the Commanders game, it would be fun to watch and it will also help the franchise to evaluate other QBs. But for now, fans eagerly await Bill Bates’s honor ceremony in the week 18 game.
