The NFL fans are polarized about letting Dak Prescott keep the reins of the Cowboys’ offense in the upcoming season. It’s no news that the Cowboys haven’t won a playoff game in the last 3 decades, let alone a Super Bowl. But how much of it is on Dak Prescott? For all we know, the Dallas team didn’t win championship games without Prescott in command for that matter.

LeSean McCoy has been very vocal about Prescott’s performance and has been calling him out every chance he gets. This time was no different. The Cowboys didn’t make any trades this time around, though Jerry Jones didn’t give Prescott an extension this time around. The hosts of SPEAK had a debate on whether the Dallas team should hire a new QB, and the argument is not in Prescott’s favor.

Emmanuel Acho pointed out how this class of QB is one of the best ones in a while and if the Cowboys should consider getting a new quarterback for the job. “This is the deepest quarterback draft that we’ve seen maybe ever,” Said Acho and asked, “Would it be crazy for the Cowboys to draft a quarterback?” LeSean “Shady” McCoy had a few things to say about the matter.

“I would love for them to draft a quarterback,” said McCoy as he went on to say, “For this team to get to where they need to be at, they can’t have Dak because he’s shown what he can do. In the postseason he doesn’t show up.”

He elaborated on his stance by saying, “So, if you want to win and go to the promised land with all these other players you have to pay like CeeDee Lamb like I don’t think they want to play around with him like he’s that good they need him.”

He added, “Parsons, you already said that Zack Martin they got some papers, so if it’s the Cowboys and Jerry Jones, man, if you want to get back to them old days in the 90s where you was running things, you got to move on from Dak Prescott.”

However, Acho said that it won’t be crazy for the Cowboys to get a new QB.

Why should the Cowboys get a new QB?

The answer is simple. Aaron Rodgers, though a phenomenal player, moved on from the Packers. But before he did, the Packers signed and vetted Jordan Love to lead the team in the coming days. Acho had a few things to say along the same lines.

“The smartest thing the Cowboys could do is draft a quarterback because Noah didn’t wait till it started raining to build an arc. Don’t wait until you need something to get something.”

Acho expanded on the gravity of the situation as he said, “I think about the Chiefs. You had Alex Smith; you draft Pat Mahomes. Think about the Packers James Jones twice, you had Brett Favre you draft Aaron Rodgers, you have Aaron Rodgers you draft Jordan Love.”

These arguments do make a case for the Cowboys to at least start investigating their new prospects. If they fail to win playoff games this season, the fans might also lose trust in the team and management’s drafting decisions.
