The New York Jets are scrambling for answers after costly mistakes on offense and special teams have left them at the bottom of the AFC East with just one win, and the frustration is starting to show. That frustration hit its peak when Breece Hall publicly vented about his role and hinted at wanting out.

While the front desk and HC Aaron Glenn might’ve wanted to shake up the roster, trading Breece Hall definitely wasn’t on the list. After Hall’s comments, Glenn was on the hot seat. And now, he’s stepped up to clear the air on how he felt about the trade.

“Breece was not a guy I wanted to get rid of. He’s a damn good player. Any of those (reports) that came out, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Underdog NFL posted on X.

Hall, who is in the final year of his rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent in 2026, has been productive this season with 581 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, and a notable receiving contribution of 30 receiving targets. With the trade drama swirling over Sauce Gardner and Quinn Williams, this latest twist has left fans in disbelief. He didn’t say it outright, but the fans got the message loud and clear.

Breece Hall expressed frustration with the Jets through cryptic posts

Hall made it pretty clear with his now-deleted tweets and cryptic posts that he’s been frustrated with all the trade chaos with the Jets. After Gardner was traded, Hall wasted no time jumping on social media, posting a GIF to make it clear he was watching every move of the Jets. Then came another post after William’s trade. A single queasy emoji. Both these posts disappeared after the trade deadline passed, but fans had already seen enough to know what’s happening.

He was frustrated with the Jets because of New York’s full “sell mode” shipping Gardner to arguably the best team of the NFL, the Indianapolis Colts, who are sitting with a 7-1 record. Meanwhile, Williams is dispatched to the playoff-hungry Dallas Cowboys. These moves definitely stole the spotlight, but the real buzz now? Well, Hall’s frustartion wasn’t all wrong. There was a regiment that asked for his services.

“With Breece Hall, there was an offer on the table for a fourth-round pick for Breece Hall,” SNY’s Connor Hughes said. “I was told it was from the Kansas City Chiefs that were willing to trade for Breece Hall. The Jets were steadfast in wanting a third.”

Though Glenn described Hall as a “damn good player,” and said that the trade rumors were not based on the team’s intentions, Hall’s outbursts reflect both his competitive nature and his desire for clarity and respect regarding his role on the team going forward.
