Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles injury has inspired many athletes to recover and gave them a blueprint of how they can make the best out of their recovery process. One of those individuals is 2x Masters Champion Bernhard Langer, who tore his Achilles tendon in February. After about 3 months, the 66-year-old announced his return to the Insperity Invitational in Houston, Texas, next week.

He documented his recovery process and gave Aaron Rodgers a shoutout. Langer and Rodgers have been communicating regularly and the QB has been helping him out with the recovery. The New York Jets quarterback took to Instagram and shared a story that was appreciative of the golfer. He captioned the story, “Bernhard is a legend,” above a quote that said, “I talked to Aaron [Rodgers] after the Masters. I followed his story and was encouraged that I might be able to do something similar.”

The 66-year-old seems to have recovered and himself believes that he still can golf for the foreseeable future. He documented his recovery journey and can be seen working out in the gym as well. “I have a feeling that I might be able to come back a little quicker than most people,” said the golfer in a video shared by PGA Tour Champions on X.

Nonetheless, earlier, Langer mentioned that he got injured during training but later revealed that he tore his Achilles while playing pickleball. The golfer was seeking retirement earlier this year and mentioned that the 2024 Masters would be his last, but as luck would have it, he succumbed to a serious injury. But thanks to the 40-year-old QB’s advice, Langer’s return was fast-tracked.

Rodgers went to the Joe Rogan podcast and shed light on what he’s been doing to recover quickly from his Achilles injury. Understandably, his training regimen required a good diet, exercise, and taking his rehabilitation seriously. The QB was targeting Christmas to make his return, but that did not become possible after the doctor suggested extra recovery time for the QB.

“I did a lot of other things to speed up the rehab,” said Rodgers. “I did hyperbaric chamber, I did some stem cells, I did full-time rehab up to eight hours a day. My diet was rock solid. A lot of bone broth to increase the collagen levels to increase healing. So, I felt really, really good. I made it back on the practice field at 11 weeks,” admitted the QB.

And just like that, Langer and Rodgers are set to bounce back to play that sport that they admire. While Langer’s return to golf is final, we might also see Aaron Rodgers lead the New York Jets in the coming season. Who’s ready to watch these legends bounce back? Let us know below.
