After the exciting end to the Super Bowl LVIII, the Kansas City Chiefs came out victorious. And the footballing world discovered the talent and skill of the young linebacker Leo Chenal. But tight-end Travis Kelce compares him to WWE superstar John Cena!

Chenal was instrumental in the historic third Super Bowl win in the last 5 years for the Chiefs. The 23-year-old was seemingly everywhere at the gridiron. But, Kelce likened him to Cena much earlier, in the training camp.

Per Travis Kelce the Chiefs have John Cena

Brothers Jason and Travis Kelce host a podcast, ‘New Heights’ and the siblings were discussing the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win. Predictably, Chenal’s name was brought up! And Kelce let the fans into the team joke, that Kelce has for Chenal.

“I was making a joke at the training camp. This dude’s John Cena in f****** pads”, said Kelce while he and his brother tried to stop from laughing. Chenal is indeed a powerful-looking man, akin to a WWE superstar. “He’s got the John Cena f****** arms and legs!”

But Chenal’s muscles weren’t the only thing, that impressed Kelce. “He flies around, one of the best all-around football players”, said Kelce about the sophomore Chenal. And Kelce isn’t the only one impressed, especially after this kind of performance on the biggest stage against the San Francisco 49ers.

Leo Chenal has the talent to do it all

The Chiefs during the playoffs became the well-oiled winning machine. They showed it at the Super Bowl as well. One of the most important cogs in this machine has been the NFL 2022 Draft at round 3 Leo Chenal.

His blocks not only kept the Chiefs in the game. But his participation in the special teams allowed the Chiefs to take the game into overtime. And as John Cena does it in the ring, Chenal was up to the task in the gridiron!
