Packers QB1 Jordan Love’s journey isn’t laced with glitter or glory—it’s forged through fire. No stranger to heartbreak, he lost his father at a young age, a pain that never left but shaped the quarterback he’s become. During his college days, he racked up many accolades as a college football athlete in Utah, which brought him to the Big League. But he hasn’t forgotten his hardships or humble roots. Away from the Lambeau spotlight, Jordan Love quietly makes a difference. Last year, he launched his own charity foundation, Hands of 10ve in Bakersfield, California. Love’s mission burns bright: to empower youth through sports and ignite awareness for mental health, all while hosting free football camps that change lives. And this year, that mission found a powerful ally. The foundation welcomed a special partner, marking a major step forward in its mission.

Under the bright lights of Neuroscience Group Field, Jordan Love took center stage for the 25th Anniversary Green Bay Charity Softball Game. The Friday Night Lights energy was electric as fans poured in for the Memorial Day weekend showdown. Hosted by Love and presented by Network Health, the event aimed to raise money for Love’s own Hands of 10ve Foundation. “I am excited to host the Green Bay Charity Softball Game for its 25th Anniversary,” Love said. “I had a blast last year hosting the game and on May 23rd we are going to take the game to another level for Friday Night Lights! Thank you for supporting the community and Hands of 10ve Foundation!”

Love’s passion was felt both on the diamond and online. After the game, he shared a heartfelt Instagram story, captioning it, “Thanks to everyone who came out for the 25th anniversary! Was a great night👏🏾” The original post came from Green Bay Charity Softball, the Hands of 10ve Foundation, and Lammi. The caption read, “Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to support the 25th Anniversary Green Bay Charity Softball Game‼️” The pictures featured the entire Packers team in green uniforms and snippets from the game. All around it was smiles and giggles as they interacted with fans.

Fans showed up in force, packing the stadium and giving the Packers quarterback all the love. “They’re amazing,” Love said. “It shows you how much support they have for us. To come out here and support us at a baseball stadium, the fans are awesome.”

The energy wasn’t lost on Love’s teammates, many of whom were seeing the spectacle for the first time. “I see it every year,” Love said. “Somebody who hasn’t seen this comes and sees it and says, ‘Man, this is incredible.’” Even Packers head coach Matt LaFleur had his take on the night. When he walked into the field at Fox Cities Stadium, the scoreboard read a disappointing 0-0. He said with a grin, making fun of novice softball players, “I think these guys are trying a little too hard. I wish they’d tone it down a little bit, but it’s all good. Not a lot of runs, but a lot of action.”

After three innings of goose eggs on the scoreboard, the game picked up steam. Team Offense surged back, eventually winning 6-4. Team Defense struck first blood in the fourth when Evan Williams scored from second on an errant throw. From crowd cheers to dugout laughs, the night delivered for charity and community—Jordan Love made sure of that.

Making the moment even more memorable, rookie Mathew Golden made his debut standing proudly beside LaFleur.

Jordan Love sees star power in rookie WR Matthew Golden

The Green Bay Packers shook the draft board by taking wide receiver Matthew Golden at No. 23 in the 2025 NFL Draft. It was the first time since 2002 that Green Bay used a first-round pick on a wideout—a decision loaded with weight and expectation. Golden’s path to Lambeau runs through Houston and Austin, where he racked up three seasons of college football. Two with the Cougars, one with the Longhorns. His tape shows a polished route-runner with soft hands and field-stretching speed. The Packers didn’t draft potential—they drafted production.

Jordan Love, speaking at his charity softball game in Appleton, gave his first public reaction to the pick. “Yeah, I mean, he’s a great dude. I’m excited to see his potential on the football field,” Love said. The quarterback lit up when asked about Golden’s early impressions. “But just the start we’ve had, he looks like a stud. He looks like a very polished receiver, I’m excited to see just how far he can take it.” The chemistry may still be building, but the confidence is already there.

Golden now walks into the Packers’ huddle with the eyes of a franchise, watching closely. His rookie season hasn’t started, yet fans are already asking if he can become WR1. That spotlight is heavy. But Golden isn’t blinking. As a Texas native molded by high-level reps and big-stage moments, he’s stepping into Green Bay with both swagger and readiness. The challenge? Embrace the pressure and turn it into production.
