Along with fun, the good news is that QB Fields is off the injury report, and per reports, he is good to go for the Bengals matchup. Apart from doing pranks and enjoying their time, they must be ready, huh? Well, one thing to be noted for Russell before playoffs will be not to repeat what he did in the Christmas Day game against the Chiefs. Coach Mike Tomlin would also be expecting this from Russ.

Tomlin questioned Russell Wilson’s risky move against the Chiefs

The Christmas Day game was full of excitement and energy and more than 30 million watched those games on Netflix. One of the Christmas Day games that turned heads was the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Pittsburgh Steelers which culminated in the Chiefs’ victory 29-10. Though the Steelers lost the game and everything was done and dusted, Mike Tomlin, the head coach, didn’t want Russell Wilson to make the mistake he did against the Chiefs.

You know, after being behind 0-13 at the end of the first quarter, the Steelers finally had a chance of a touchdown in the 2nd one. But when Wilson threw an interception while targeting Pat Freiermuth. That was shocking for everyone on the field as it gave the ball into the Chiefs’ possession, eventually leading to a change in whole dynamics. When asked about that interception, Russ tried to put the blame on George Pickens, saying, “I thought he was gonna go vertical. But at the end of the day, it can’t happen to me. I was trying to give Pat a chance.”

Mike Tomlin was also upset about the quarterback’s mistake. He reacted to it as “Gotta give credit to their (Chiefs) safety. He did a great job showing half-field coverage on the weak side.” Alright, Russ may surely have noted these points to not repeat them again. Steelers might rest him for the week 18 game against the Bengals. But in the playoffs, such mistakes can lead to disasters. Fans would hope they come prepared.
