The Vikings think Lance is a potential QB for their team, given his age. Also, Trey Lance is still the QB3 for the Cowboys behind Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush, with no changes to the depth chart. The 49ers have published the trade news on X.

However, there is no official confirmation from the Vikings regarding Lance’s trade to their team as a new QB. It’s no surprise that the Vikings reportedly thought about Lance. Per the source, the Vikings and 49ers discussed a Lance trade at this year’s NFL scouting combine, but those didn’t work out.
