F1 fever is in the air again, and this time, it coincides with Memorial Day! It’s hardly been a few weeks since the Miami Grand Prix wrapped up, and the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race is here, creating waves not only in the racing arena but also in the NFL. The latest star to be smitten by the F1 bug is Lamar Jackson!

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback shared photographs from the Charlotte Motor Speedway on his Instagram. Jackson was in Concord to support Ford’s Ryan Blaney, sporting a grey shirt with the racer’s name and No. 12 on it. He completed the outfit with camo pants, shades, and a grey bucket hat.

Due to heavy rains, the race was cut short, and Toyota’s Christopher Bell clinched the victory, completing 294 out of 400 laps. Though Jackson’s favorite lost out in the race, the QB had plenty to celebrate in the Memorial Day festivities. He posted pictures with the army personnel in front of the military tanks and captioned the post as “On the lowercase I’m jus tryna Capitalize🩶

Jackson seemed to have a fun time with the military officials, getting inside the tank and enjoying the view from the top. He also posed with a gun, posting the picture on the Instagram story with the text “Right in the blow hole.

As the Ravens’ star had a day out in North Carolina, the world of the NFL expressed their respect for the veterans through social media. The franchise’s official X page posted their tribute on the platform with the message, “Today, we honor those who fought for our freedom. Their courage and sacrifice will always be remembered.” Coming back to the Coco-Cola race, Lamar Jackson’s rendezvous reminded us of another NFL quarterback’s racing weekend earlier this month.

Not only was the Kansas City Chiefs star in Miami to attend the big race, but is also the co-owner of Alpine. Mahomes, along with teammate Travis Kelce and other names from the sports world, joined the Otro Capital investment group. Coincidentally, the quarterback won his first Super Bowl in Miami in 2019.

However, this time, the victory was seized by Lando Norris, with Alpine’s E. Ocon at the 10th position. However, the Chiefs Kingdom still shone brightly as Mahomes made a glam entry at the venue. The three-time MVP shared a video montage on Instagram, encapsulating his weekend with Brittany.
