Lamar Jackson had something to say, and he didn’t hold back. This post came right after a heartbreaking loss that’d test his mettle like never before.

The Ravens star QB took a quirky dig at his critics with an IG story of a guy popping out of a sewer, captioned, “Sewer Mouth.” This cheeky jab came right after Baltimore’s painful 29-24 loss to the Deshaun Watson-less Browns. Watson’s nursing a ruptured Achilles tendon and will likely have surgery.

Jackson’s final throw? His helmet. It was a hard day for Ravens (5-3). They entered with a five-game winning streak—snapped by the lowly Browns (2-6).

Baltimore arrived boasting the NFL’s top-ranked offense, with Jackson putting up MVP-worthy numbers. But opportunities slipped through their fingers—faster than a hot potato. They failed to convert on a fourth-and-goal at Cleveland’s 2-yard line—watched a game-winning interception bounce off safety Kyle Hamilton’s hands in the dying minutes.

Every loss is frustrating,” the 27-year-old lamented after the game. In the final 14 seconds, he missed two crucial end-zone throws to Zay Flowers—a moment that could haunt the young WR. Despite leading twice in the second half and reclaiming the lead with a Derrick Henry TD, the Ravens couldn’t close the door.

Defensively, Baltimore fell short. With key CBs Marlon Humphrey and Nate Wiggins sidelined, they needed one last stand. Jameis Winston’s conversion on a critical third-and-7 left coach John Harbaugh scrambling for a plan. A false start put Cleveland in a tight spot. But Winston’s overthrow almost turned into a redemption moment for Hamilton, who couldn’t bring in the catch.

As Jackson brushes off the noise, he confirmed that his receivers didn’t complain about the sun messing with their catches.

Sunny skies, dropped balls: Lamar Jackson’s receivers falter

Well, that was unexpected! Jackson faced the harsh reality of dropped passes from his WRs, which were as frequent as an overzealous fan in a jersey. These blunders stung on defense, with three potential interceptions vanishing into thin air.

After the game, whispers circulated that the glaring sun might’ve been the reason. But the three-time Pro Bowler revealed his receivers didn’t mention it. “They didn’t tell me that. If they did, I believe it, ’cause the sun was glaring today,” he quipped.
