Raiders Handed Josh Jacobs Blow Ahead of Chargers’ Test
Follow Us
With Justin Herbert out for the season, the Las Vegas Raiders might just have an opportunity to crush the Los Angeles Chargers in today’s game. But after watching the Vikings go against the Colts, anything seems possible. Before heading to the game, the Chargers and Raiders have an extensive list of inactive players. Unfortunately, we might not see Josh Jacobs in today’s game as well.
Naturally, ahead of the bout, the teams decided to release the list of inactive personnel, and the Las Vegas Raiders are at the steep end of it. The team suffered two major blows, and the situation has gotten even worse. It looks like Lady Luck has a different scheme for the Raiders, as we also might not see Davante Adams in the mix.

For the Raiders, there are 7 inactive players on the roster. The QB, Brian Hoyer, will also not be participating in the game. Along with the DT’s Byron Young and Nesta Jade Silvera, who will also be absent from the game. Adding to the list of troubles are DE Malik Reed, the center Andre James, and Kolton Miller.

The Raiders are in a bit of a crunch because Jacobs will be missing the game due to his quad injury, and to add to the troubles, Davante Adams is also feeling a bit under the weather due to an illness.

However, it is not good for the Chargers either. After Justin Herbert was ousted for the season, the Chargers entered this game with seven of their inactive players. The WR, Keenan Allen, will not be playing along with the DB, Deane Leonard, the TE, Donald Parham Jr., and the LB, Amen Ogbongbemiga. It doesn’t stop there because the DL’s Otito Ogbonnia and Nick Williams will also be absent from the game. Their safety, JT Woods, is also unaccounted for in the game.

Will the Raiders be able to win the game without their main offensive pieces?
Dark clouds are already looming around Aidan O’Connell as the Raiders are on a 3-game losing streak. Added to that the absence of the Raiders’ main RB Josh Jacobs, and the WR Davante Adams, this Las Vegas team has less chances of winning against the Chargers. The RB suffered a quad injury in the game against the Vikings in the fourth quarter. He missed practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
As for the Chargers, Easton Stick will be the starting QB after Justin Herbert suffered a season-ending injury that requires surgery. Stick has a very erratic record with the Chargers because he played with the team in 2020 and is not returning in 2023, with 3 years unaccounted for. He’s just played a single game this season and that also ended up being a loss for the Chargers.
