Patrick Mahomes is a man of many talents. Having inherited baseball genes from his father, Pat Mahomes Sr, Mahomes could have easily lived up to his father’s legacy on the diamond. But, nah, instead he chose the football world. And now he sits at the top of it, having won 3 Super Bowls before even turning 30. However, baseball and football aren’t the only sports in which Mahomes excels. He also knows how to swing his golf clubs as accurately as his throwing motion. So, given that Mahomes will soon be playing a bit of golf, his dad has gone above and beyond to watch his son tee off.
TMZ Sports reported on Wednesday that Mahomes will be throwing a bash at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Vegas. Now you would be wondering why host a golf event in the middle of the training camp. Well, this is a charity golf event aimed at raising significant funds for Mahomes ’15 and the Mahomies Foundation.’ As you might already know, 15 and the Mahomies are strongly dedicated to changing the lives of children. His foundation focuses on health, wellness, and communities that need resources to survive.
So, all the funds gathered in this golf event will be siphoned to Mahomes’ foundation. As for his father, he, who used to take Mahomes to the golf course while he was still young, wasn’t planning on missing the event. TMZ Sports further reported that Mahomes Sr. apparently asked his probation officer whether he could attend the event in person. He submitted the necessary documents earlier this month. And on May 7th, his request was granted.
