Born on October 10, 1994, in St. Petersburgh, Florida to Marcellus and Tahisia Scantling. MVS was the middle child out of three. And even though the Tampa Bay residents, love the Buccaneers. They support their son more than anything.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has parents he can depend on

The WR was a star performer at his high school in Florida. He then accepted the scholarship to join North Carolina State for his college career. But soon needed some advice. His father whom he refers to as his first coach, gave him the advice of a lifetime.

The 29-year-old then shifted to South Florida University for his last college year. And was then drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2018. But apart from being his son’s coach, Scantling Senior has a successful professional career as well.

MVS’ dad is an electrical engineer. He was engaged in the Kennedy Space Center’s agenda to make the space shuttle from analog to digital. MVS’ mother is a successful commercial real estate agent and is active on social media. Recently though, she is excited for her son’s participation in yet another Super Bowl!

A Super Bowl-worthy start

MVS joined the Chiefs in 2022 and in his first season itself, he won the Super Bowl ring. Now in his sophomore year with the midwestern team, the WR has an opportunity to win it again. This time against the San Francisco 49ers.

Even though his second season with the Chiefs hasn’t been as fruitful as his first. Receiving only 21 catches compared to last season’s 42. The 29-year-old has the opportunity to redeem himself, in the final game of the season. And make his parents even more proud!
