After meeting on a blind date and dating for several years, the couple married in 2015. They now are parents to four children. The first one was born in 2015. Not only that, Shahrzad has a bustling career as a physician and pathologist to boost as well.

The 42-year-old has a love for teaching as well and has used her medical knowledge not only in research capacities for corporations but for her community as well. Since, nowadays her focus is on philanthropic ventures. She is the founder and executive director of the Slater Family Foundation.

Shahrzad is a key member of the foundation that helps residents of the Bangor Area School District, Pennsylvania. This help includes a wide variety of bills that the foundations help in paying to the families in need. And this signifies her endearment to the oath she took several years ago.

Still helping out those in need

As a doctor, Shahrzad must have been beneficial to several of her patients. She continued the same stride after completing her MD from Brown Medical School. The mother of four then went on to pursue her dream of teaching.

She held the position of assistant professor at two medical schools. She continued her medicinal practice here as well, dealing with women and infants. After her marriage to the footballer, she switched to a more research-oriented job at LMK Clinical Research Consulting. Now with her husband retired, she can put more time and effort towards her philanthropic venture.
