Last year, after Patrick Mahomes won his 3rd ring, his mom, Randi Mahomes, gave the much-awaited tour of his childhood home in Texas. Travis Kelce’s mannequin, Mahomes’ baby photos, multiple unseen portraits, and whatnot. But what truly captured everyone’s attention was the Chiefs QB’s childhood room, a space the Mahomes family has kept untouched over the years. Randi even preserved Pat’s room exactly as it was, complete with a large Kobe Bryant poster still hanging on the wall. Now, in a recent turn of events, just a year later, Pat’s mom has been forced to put the beloved family home up for sale.
2025 has not been kind to the Mahomes. After losing the Super Bowl to the Eagles on February 9, Patrick also lost his grandfather, Larry Randy Martin, the same week. Now, Randi has put her Texas home for sale for as low as $285,000. However, a recent surprise from Patrick, Jackson, and Brittany seems to have brought some joy to their mom.
“Home is where the heart is—and my heart is full! Beyond grateful for my amazing family and my grandbabies for this incredible blessing.” Randi wrote on her latest Instagram post as she echoed her excitement about moving into a new home. Randi’s son gave her a pleasant surprise a few days ago. Teaming up with his wife, Brittany, and brother, Jackson, the three of them surprised Randi with a newly constructed $825,000 home in Texas. So, having already found a brand new home in the heart of Texas, Randi was forced to decide on Patrick Mahomes’ childhood home.

After receiving a generous gift from her sons and daughter-in-law, Mama Mahomes was feeling a mix of bittersweet emotions. “Now I have a large space for those grandbabies. There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house. But it’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now. Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home!” Randi said on social media. Having said that, Mahomes’ previous home in Tyler, Texas, is now up for sale, which is $540,000 less than the home Mahomes gifted to his mother.
Their Texas property is up for sale through a broker named Tristan Mosher. You can even opt for a private showing of the three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1,475 Square feet home by contacting the agent. The website on which Mahomes’ childhood home is listed specifically mentions that you won’t have to pay a single penny for a seamless viewing experience. Now, to sweeten the deal for those hoping to purchase a property in Tyler, Texas. The listing also specifically mentions that “new countertops, a stylish backsplash, KitchenAid appliances. And modern lighting, perfect for hosting friends and family,“ have been installed.

Beyond those interior amenities, the $285,000 property also features a spacious backyard and easy access to local shops, dining, and schools. Offering both privacy and convenience to new property owners, 25 photos have also been shared on the website for you to decide. As for Randi, she is also trying to chip in to find a buyer as soon as possible. On her latest Instagram story, she reshared an advertisement for their old Texas home with the caption, “Bittersweet but new beginnings, thank you @tristansellstexas.”
While it could be tough for Randi to leave Tyler where she brought up young Mahomes, there’s no shortage of properties in the Mahomes family.

Patrick Mahomes’ love for real estate knows no boundaries
After Patrick Mahomes cemented his place as the face of not just the Chiefs but also the NFL, his love for real estate has only grown deeper. You would have to go back in 2019, when Mahomes picked up a three-bedroom mid-century modern abode in Kansas City, Missouri. It was set on an acre with a backyard pool, a wet bar, a wine cellar, and even a massive gym. However, in 2023, he and Brittany chose to sell their mansion for $2.9M. While it wasn’t successful the first time around, the couple later managed to sell it for an undisclosed price.
He may have let go of one of his homes in Kansas City. But Mahomes reportedly still owns a two-bedroom penthouse from his bachelor days in Missouri. He did try to sell it for $485,000 in 2019, but wasn’t able to. Beyond those real estate investments, Mahomes also owns an off-season mansion in his home state, Texas. It’s basically a palace spread across 7,800 square feet. Four-bedroom, a family room with a customized fireplace, an outdoor space for children, a lounging area and more. It also features a large pool for spending quality time with his kids and a spa.

Well, Mahomes has also expanded his empire to Belton, Missouri. He primarily lives in a custom-built mega-mansion scattered around 8 acres of land. That’s where Mahomes, Brittany, and his three kids spent most of their time. But, of course, Mahomes is also pretty generous towards his loved ones. His $825,000 gift to Mom Randi comes with many modern amenities. A formal dining space, a butler’s pantry, a primary suite with a spa and a floating tub. It has everything Randi could have ever dreamed of.
I mean, you can see her smile yourself as she was captured posing in front of her new home with keys dangling from her hands.
