The NFL season is entering its climax. Only eight teams are left on the board. The excitement is skyrocketing. Among the four divisional games, the fiercest is perhaps going to be the one between the two top MVP contenders — Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. It’s the last divisional round among the four. But ahead of it, both players have a strong message for everyone who will be out there at Highmark Stadium.

The divisional game is around and reporters are encircling the two MVP contenders. But wait. What are Jackson and Allen focusing on? The very next game? Or the Super Bowl directly? Or the comments on them? Well, when Lamar Jackson was asked about it, his response was dope! Jackson said, “Excuse me, for everyone watching, but I really don’t care who is watching and like, to me, like the players, we are just tryna to win. We don’t really care about how people feel about it. We just trying to go there and win.”

He further added, “That’s a tough environment. That’s a tough team… offense, defense, special team.” That’s impressive to see Jackson locked in, not just to win the MVP award for the third time but just to see the Ravens in the Super Bowl. But apart from him, the Bills QB was also asked about the divisional round and it would be a surprise if didn’t say what he said to the reporters. Allen said, “That’s why we play this game, to be in the moments like these. You know, our team was nowhere really happy. Blessed to be playing and continue playing this game.” The Bills QB added, “And again we are just trying to find a way to 1 and 0.”

Josh Allen has just made it five wins out of five wild-card round games in five straight seasons for the Bills. Whereas Lamar Jackson has a playoff record of 3-4 and has never won two games in a single post-season. But he does have something that Allen doesn’t. The MVP trophy. Two of them, in fact. But the show is far from over as the divisional round is on the way.

Lamar Jackson’s Ravens vs Allen’s Bills: A Divisional Showdown

Alright. Whatever opinions we have Jackson is killing it in the season ranking 70th in interceptions, 6th in passing yards, and 2nd in touchdowns. And what about his opponent? Josh Allen ranks 78th in interceptions, 7th in scoring touchdowns and has passed for 3731 yards to grab the 14th spot in passing yards. Now that’s the heat! A cutthroat competition! But what are their stats against each other?

In the playoffs, Lamar has a disadvantage of 0-1 with Allen winning the divisional game in 2020. Lamar Jackson suffered a concussion in the game and the Bills won the game 17-3. So while it was a win, it wasn’t a real Jackson-Allen tussle, which we can see in the upcoming game.

Apart from their battle, the Bills and Ravens share a history of playing 12 games in the playoffs. Out of 12, only five games have been won by the Buffalo Bills. So, the Ravens hold a slight edge. With the MVP conversations likely to be influenced by the outcome of this game, we can expect a fierce battle.
