Patrick Mahomes Sr. is a “very, very proud” father! The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was once asked by his father to leave football; however, Patrick Mahomes still chose the sport over his father’s baseball. And now, his father is proud of what his son has shown in his seven years of NFL career. Besides that, there’s another reason Patrick Sr. is proud of his child.

As Mahomes is arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the league, he is also one of the kindest people in the sports world. This is clear from his recent KC Chiefs’ Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nomination. Talking about his off-field efforts, his father, Patrick Sr., has an extraordinary story to tell the fans and make them even prouder of the quarterback.

In the latest post by a YouTube channel, “Starcade Media,” the host picked up the topic of KC’s star Patrick Mahomes and his service to the community. The channel also included a clip of Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., who recalled past incidents of his and his son’s life while praising the 2x SB champ. Mahomes Sr. said son Patrick always planned to do something “big in the community with charity and being big in the city.”

He further recalled, “My mom was in a wheelchair since I was seven years old. His grandmother [late Debbie Bates] was in a wheelchair,” so the quarterback has seen all those struggles that disabled people go through. Furthermore, the former MLB player said that Mahomes has “always been passionate about kids, even when he was in high school or was coaching.” Patrick Sr. concluded that Mahomes wants everyone to get the best of their life like he got the best out of his. So, Mahomes Sr. said that he is “very, very proud of being his father.” And that’s absolutely true!
