The quarterbacks of two rival teams are soon going to be neighbors. The New York Giants are gearing up for their contest against the Dallas Cowboys, while the New York Jets are preparing to face off against the Las Vegas Raiders. In a cruel twist of fate, both the New York teams’ starting quarterbacks are suffering from injuries. Aaron Rodgers will watch most of the season from the sidelines due to a torn Achilles. While the Giants’ QB Daniel Jones has been ruled out of the entire season due to a torn Achilles.

But it’s worse for the Giants as their backup QB is also out as he is on the injured reserve list. That leaves them with their Plan C QB, Tommy DeVito. And with A-Rod’s recent purchase, the two have become neighbors!

Art Stapelton, a writer for North Jersey took to X, to point out an interesting observation. “Tommy DeVito + Aaron Rodgers are currently living in the same New Jersey town.” What was he talking about? Turns out the 4x SB MVP recently purchased a swanky mansion in New Jersey worth $9.5 million!

The mansion is spread out over 10,000 square feet acres in Cedar Grove near the Montclair border. The mansion features a modern design and has 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Rodgers’ new home also has a wine cellar, gym, and a three-car garage. And his home is just 11 miles from the MetLife Stadium. MetLife is also the Giants’ home stadium.

Tommy DeVito lives with his parents in Cedar Grove. While he is yet to find the financial success that would enable him to buy his own house, he and A-Rod are practically neighbors now. And DeVito even grew up idolizing Rodgers. “Everything that I need is there at the house,” DeVito told ESPN.

The two neighbors face an uphill task ahead

Rodgers has been rehabbing in California but has been making stunning progress. In little less than a month, he has managed to walk without crutches and throw 58-yard passes. His mission is to get back on the field as soon as possible. Although he hasn’t set any deadlines, we expect him to be back before the playoffs. That’s if the Jets manage to improve their 4-4 score.

DeVito, on the other hand, has a tougher battle to fight. His 2-7 team is two QBs down and they have a formidable Dallas Cowboys to face off on November 12. DeVito has recorded just 1 TD in the two games that he has played and has thrown 2 interceptions. Is the season already over for the Giants and should they start preparing for the next? And will the Jets manage to turn around their fortunes without their talisman?
