The Jets aren’t flying. A total mess! Starting from the feud between Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh, the back and forth indicated something was brewing. Then began the season. After 5 weeks, they were at a 2-3 win-loss record, and the HC was fired. Jeff Ulbrich took over. But the success, it’s still far.

Now, the spotlight is on their star quarterback. A veteran of 2 decades, even Rodgers hasn’t been able to change the franchise. The Jets reporter, Connor J Hughes, surprised everyone with the inside news. He revealed that A-Rod wants to play for the Jets in the 2025 season as well. But can he? Everything depends on this year.

Hughes claimed that if the team didn’t qualify for the playoffs, the GM Joe Douglas and the HC Ulbrich and his staff would be fired. Aaron Rodgers would have to deal with a new coach and adjust to a new O-line. That wouldn’t be good for the QB. This year has been surprising for the signal caller as well.

Injuries are catching up to the 40-year-old QB. Heck, this might be his worst year as well. With 3 wins and 7 losses, only a miracle could take them to the postseason games. His performance isn’t that bad. In 10 games, A-Rod has 219 of 351 passes (62.4% completion rate) in 2,258 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. But it’s a team game.

A few players of the O-line are coming up with explanations. Can it pick their confidence? Doesn’t look like so.

Garrett Wilson’s belief in Aaron Rodgers hasn’t wavered

The locker room still considers A-Rod their leader. They trust him, but they have to do their best as well. He alone can’t do everything for them. That’s what the star WR Garrett Wilson said while talking to the reporters on November 13. While asserting that they have to stay united, he said, “You are always looking at your quarterback on what the plan is, how we’re gonna attack these dudes. Trying to figure out this thing together is the truth of it.”

Struggling at 3rd place in the AFC East division and 11th in their conference, the Jets O-line was ranked 22 by Pro Football Network ahead of week 11. They have converted 52 of 128 (40%) 3rd downs and 3 of 9 (33%) 4th downs. That’s alarming.

But there’s a hidden question there. Is Aaron Rodgers responsible for this? He has been trying to get them back on the winning field. The QB even persuaded the management to bring in his former teammate Davante Adams from the Raiders. In 4 games for the Jets, the WR has only 20 receptions for 206 yards with 1 touchdown.

The Empire is crumbling. They haven’t qualified for playoffs since 2014. Fans wonder if bringing the seasoned quarterback can’t reverse their bad luck, what else will? Serious discussions are the need of the hour.
