This connection has the NFL buzzing, with the Cleveland Browns’ Muse fan page already calling him the “Next Tyreek Hill.” It’s a bold claim, yep—but Worthy and Mahomes are already showing some serious rapport.

Kansas City’s star WR, Worthy, was sidelined for most of the offseason due to a hamstring injury. But that didn’t stop QB Mahomes from forging a bond with his new weapon. During their initial on-field drills, the Chiefs’ QB unleashed a deep pass, and Worthy, the fastest 40-yard dasher (4.21!) ever recorded at the combine, snatched it like a hawk.

The 21-year-old’s early chemistry with Mahomes is lighting up the scene, and he’s set to be a game-changer this season. Drafted 27th overall, he brings a deep threat the Chiefs haven’t had since Hill’s departure. With veterans like Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice, Worthy’s speed will be a nightmare for defenses.

HC Andy Reid openly discussed wanting to stretch the field more, and there’s no one on the roster, maybe even the entire league, who can do that quite like Worthy. Patrick Mahomes himself told Adam Teicher on ESPN, “There’s no easing [him in].”

“Obviously, the end result was awesome,” the 28-year-old QB said of winning the Super Bowl in Feb. “But there’s a lingering bad taste in our mouths. We weren’t the team we wanted to be all year. It just wasn’t fun.” Remember the Chiefs’ constant grind in 2023? Mahomes does. “We have a lot of returning players and they know how it feels,” he said.

With key players like defensive tackle Chris Jones and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed returning, Mahomes’ Chiefs are looking strong this year. Who knows, a three-peat might just be within reach!
