Let’s goooo! The National Football League has announced a detailed schedule for the upcoming season, and excitement has already skyrocketed. The league is changing at a faster pace, as it will have seven international games. And if we look at the schedule, then other teams have managed to attract significant attention and prime time games along with the Chiefs. With that, fans did not spare a moment to hold back their favorite, and this time, it appears that the Cowboys‘ games are in demand.
Adam Schefter on May 14 posted an interesting fact and update about the 2025 Prime-time games, writing, “After Wednesday’s NFL schedule release, here are the most in-demand games, per @VividSeats.” He also added that no game currently is in more demand than the Cowboys-Eagles opener, which has an average ticket price of $1,743 since the schedule was released. But what are the important games scheduled for prime time?

First and foremost is the kickoff game of the regular season, where the Cowboys will be heading to the LIX Super Bowl champion, the Philadelphia Eagles’ home field, to start off the show. The average ticket price for that game is $1,743. It is the highest ticket price ever for the upcoming season, according to reports.
Additionally, the game between the NFC rivals since 2000 will be televised on NBC, and fans will be eager to see who comes out on top. Just to put things into perspective, the Super Bowl champions won both games against the Cowboys last season. Will the regular-season debut for Brian Schottenheimer as the Cowboys’ head coach bring about a different magic, or will history repeat itself?
Other than this highly exciting matchup, the Cowboys will again go head-to-head against the Chiefs on Thanksgiving, and the tickets for the same are priced at $1,491. Fun fact: This is the 11th time that the Chiefs will play on Thanksgiving and first since Kansas City hosted Denver at Arrowhead Stadium on Nov. 23, 2006. What made that matchup special was that it was the first-ever live game broadcast on the NFL Network. Prior to this year’s matchup, the Chiefs have played the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day once before on Nov. 23, 1995.
The Chiefs are also lucky this year, as they have a chance to play on Christmas Day. Actually, the Chiefs will play against the Denver Broncos on that day. In fact, the Chiefs had asked for the permanent playing rights on Christmas Day, but the league rejected the application at the annual meetings. However, eventually, Andy Reid’s team is now getting ready for a third consecutive appearance.
The three other games in most demand post the schedule release are Packers vs. Cowboys (SNF) on September 20, Ravens vs. Bills (SNF) on September 7, and Jets vs. Bills in Week 18. However, this time, all the hype is around Dak Prescott’s Cowboys. Let’s see what the fans have to say about these games.
What’s your perspective on:
Are Cowboys fans setting themselves up for disappointment with sky-high ticket prices this season?

Fans are ecstatic after the release of the 2025 NFL schedule
First of all, Vivid Seats reacted to it, saying, “*clears throat* LEETTTTTTTSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO,” But the comment section had a variety of comments, as one fan wrote, “Cowboys fans will spend absurd lumps of money and travel just to watch their team lose.” The Cowboys ended the 2024 season on a low note, along with Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury. Then there was Trevon Diggs’ ACL tear, for which he had to undergo surgery in December. Among others, CeeDee Lamb also found himself on the injury reserve with 2 games remaining in the season after playing through a shoulder issue for several weeks.

Another fan remembered the usual schedule and decided not to buy a $1,743 ticket for the kickoff game. “$1743 for Cowboys-Eagles????? My god i know it’s week 1 to start the year but they play twice a year every year damn,” fan said. Both teams are part of the NFC East division along with the Giants and the Commanders, and the NFL scheduling is such that it mandates that each team plays its division opponent twice over the season, which is once at home and the other on the road. And just last year, the Cowboys lost both games to the Eagles.

Apart from this genuine comment, another fan trolled the Cowboys for losing important games. “Good thing two of the Dallas matchups are early in the season because by Thanksgiving when KC comes to town, there ain’t gonna be nothing to play for lol,” a fan said. The Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in the past 30 years, and that’s made a lot of their fans lose hope in the team.
Another fan displayed optimism and wrote, “@dallascowboys in top 3. #AmericasTeam.” With that, many now expect the Cowboys to open the season with their highest-paid quarterback, Dak Prescott, leading the offense. With tough matchups ahead, all eyes will be on whether the Cowboys can change the long-standing stereotype of underperforming in big games and secure statement wins against the Eagles on September 4 and the Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day.
