On November 17, Joe Burrow’s team, the Cincinnati Bengals lost to the Los Angeles Chargers. After the loss, many fans slammed the coach, the entire team’s performance as well as the quarterback. Although Burrow has been arguably good this season, his continuous injuries as well as last game’s loss have led many to question the franchise. However, the worst part is now that even the league is reportedly ditching Joe Burrow and his team in the prime-time games. Yes, you heard it right! A flex might happen! The upcoming weeks are going to bring some surprising excitement for the fans. But what is it?

Well, according to MLFootball on X, “The #Chargers – #Broncos game is being FLEXED to Thursday Night Football in Week 16, league sources exclusively tell @_MLFootball.” This means Bo Nix and Justin Herbert are going to face off against each other, and the league has made it a prime-time feature. But what about Joe Burrow’s team and the recently won Browns (in Week 12 against the Steelers)?

The post explains that, despite everything happening, organizers are moving Joe Burrow’s team’s game, the #Bengals – #Browns matchup, to a different time. This game was set for Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 1 p.m. ET. The new time reportedly hasn’t been revealed yet. However, one thing is sure, the excitement will reach new heights.

But, let us remind you, this can be a rumor too, as the official NFL website is yet to update the news. The organizers may or may not reschedule the showdowns. Interestingly, if this happens, it will mark the second time this season that Joe Burrow’s team has had a game pushed from its original timing.

Joe Burrow’s Bengals kicked off their battle at another time?

The NFL has already started to flex the time of the games. During this, one game of Joe Burrow was impacted, and that was in Week 8, against the Eagles. This matchup was initially supposed to be played at 4:25 p.m. ET, but the NFL flexed the timing to a 1:00 slot. But why did they do so?

Well, the reason behind the league flexing the time was in order to make room for another game. This game was between the Washington Commanders and the Chicago Bears. Earlier this showdown was about to begin at 1:00 p.m. ET. However, it later shifted to 4:25 p.m. ET.

With this flexible scheduling procedure, the NFL tries to give rising teams a chance to shine under the bright lights of primetime. You can say, it’s a way to reward their hard work and let fans witness exciting matchups as they unfold. Probably, Joe Burrow’s team’s game isn’t as exciting as it was earlier. Hence, the present rumored decision!
