The Super Bowl’s viewership almost always goes up. But this year they have two not-so-secret weapons. Taylor Swift and Eminem. Last year, it was Rihanna, and the ratings went crazy! 115.1 million tuned in to watch the Super Bowl. However, it’s no secret that Swift has a lot more fan following.

Just two weeks remain for the NFL climax. Here are five factors that could send the Super Bowl TV ratings to the star this year!

1. The Taylor Swift Effect

Picture this–a Taylor Swift Super Bowl! Brands are gearing up for the possibility. Swift, the NFL’s favorite anti-hero, has been making waves with her presence at Kansas City Chiefs games. How so? Advertisers are hoping for her appearance, given her consistent TV ratings success. And their banking on her is not unwarranted. The recent Chiefs vs Bills Divisional Round game reached 50.4 million people, a 10% increase from the previous year.

Swift’s impact on viewership has been undeniable, making her a potential game-changer for the Super Bowl.

2. The Lions make it to the SB for the first time

Move over Chiefs. TV has a new darling. The Detroit Lions. Their recent playoff win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drew a humongous 37.1 million viewers on NBC. Detroit was not a popular team until now. But after every victory, it seems their fans keep growing. And if they make it to the Super Bowl, the eyeballs would be off the charts. The Bucs victory drew a total average audience of 40.4 million. And that’s not all. It became the most-watched divisional game on NBC since 1994!

3. Eminem comes to watch his favorite team

Rapper Eminem has been at Lions games this year. The rapper has expressed himself and shared his fandom recently on Instagram, saying his New Year’s resolution was for the Lions to win the Super Bowl.

Want a confirmation? Hear it from the horse’s mouth. “I’m going to be there that night,” Eminem said. “I will suit up, and I will score us the winning touchdown in the third quarter.”

4. More star power: Messi, Marino, Owens

This Super Bowl is not just going to be about football. This year they’re mixing in some soccer flavor as well. Soccer GOAT Lionel Messi is set to headline a Super Bowl ad for Michelob Ultra. This would be his first-ever Super Bowl commercial.

But we aren’t forgetting our NFL legends either. M&M’s is collaborating with Dan Marino, Terrell Owens, and Bruce Smith to create a unique Super Bowl ring featuring diamonds. What’s so extraordinary about that? They’ll be made from M&M’s peanut butter candies!

5. NFL’s double bonanza

The NFL is doubling the excitement by airing the game live on CBS and Nickelodeon. The Nickelodeon version aims for a family-focused telecast. As the saying goes, “Catch them young!” The NFL is already preparing its next generation of super fans!

Do you think the ratings will surpass all other years? Or do you think it will be a flop show?

One take at a time

I am a hardcore believer in the ?Mamba Mentality?, which certainly applies to the NFL. The sport is not just about physical prowess but also demands a powerful mindset. Growing up, I spent time with athletes on the neighborhood soccer field.
