The Dallas Cowboys have brought up linebacker Rashaan Evans from the practice squad for the third time this season, allowing for standard practice squad elevations. He was signed to the practice squad on October 12 and was called in to help against the New York Giants last Sunday. Now, with an upcoming game against the Carolina Panthers, the Cowboys have decided to add him to the 53-man roster.

This move not only strengthens the linebacker group but also comes with an interesting twist. Evans will be stepping in for star linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, who is out for the season due to a neck injury.

During the 2022 season, Rashaan Evans had already proved his skills as a linebacker during his time with the Atlanta Falcons, where he participated in all 17 games. His impressive stats included 159 total tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, two recoveries, and four pass defenses.

Now he’s been transferred to the Dallas Cowboys this season, and he’s already done wonders on the field. Evans has sparked the field with his defensive skills, where he committed three successful tackles. So, after a long consideration, as per the reports the Cowboys have decided to sign the linebacker, who’s also a former first-round pick, to their 53-man roster.

Evans has attracted interest from various teams attempting to sign him away from the Cowboys’ practice squad, but that did not really happen. Mainly because the linebacker remains loyal and fully committed to the Cowboys. He even dedicated his previous game to Vander Esch.

Fans are proud of this new addition to the Cowboys

Rashaan Evans officially joins the Dallas Cowboys as a full-time player. His role on the team extends beyond being a snap-eating replacement for Leighton Vander Esch. With a promising future, Evans is positioned to make meaningful contributions within the linebacker corps, providing valuable support to emerging talents like Damone Clark and Markquese Bell.

Notably, Evans has demonstrated a sense of accountability, and the fans were very supportive. One of the fans stated that this is quite a “Good signing for the Cowboys.

While another fan mentioned the feats of Evans and wrote in the end, “Solid pickup.

One fan mentioned in their comment, “He’s got 21 tackles already somehow. Dude’s a machine.

Furthermore, a fan stated that Evans needs to be in the middle and he’d perform like a beast. They wrote, “Hopefully he starts playing 90 or more snaps. He’s an absolute beast in the middle.
