NFL Rumors – Dalvin Cook Set to Join Battered and Bruised Baltimore Ravens Ahead of NFL Playoffs

The Baltimore Ravens are a pretty banged-up flock right now. Sixteen of the Ravens have taken a beating, and most are questionable about playing the next game. In these turbulent times, the Baltimore team needed a helping hand, and who better to turn to than the New York Jets, who were eliminated from the playoffs? Hence, they decided to borrow a helping hand from the dejected team.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Ravens have hired a four-time Pro Bowl RB to their arsenal to patch things up. What’s more interesting is that Lamar Jackson is sitting out the next game because he needs rest. This makes more of a case for the Ravens to get every possible help they can.

Per Tom Pelissero, the Baltimore Ravens have signed Dalvin Cook to their squad. His agency, LAA Sports Entertainment, broke the news. The four-time Pro Bowler doesn’t have much time to prepare for his next assignment as the playoffs start in two and a half weeks. Also, Adam Schefter mentioned the RB had a $6.8 million contract with the Jets, and now he has a chance to chase his Super Bowl dreams.

Schefter also mentioned that Cook was unclaimed and was free to sign with any team participating in the playoffs. Luckily, he got to sign with one of the strongest teams in the league right now. The veteran Pro Bowler has played 15 games with the Jets but does not have much to show. But things might change.

Cook played 15 games in which he had 67 carries over 214 yards, averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Irrespective of his past, Cook has a legitimate opportunity to get his numbers up or be a part of the playoffs, which he would not have been if he played with the Jets. However, he might be a blessing to the Ravens’ battered roster.

Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr. will sit out the next game because they want some rest. Unfortunately for the team, Zay Flowers might miss the next game because he has a calf injury and failed to participate in the last three days. The CBs Ronald Darby, Arthur Maulet, and Brandon Stephens are also questionable to play in the next game.
Marlon Humphrey and Daryl Worley will be out of the next game because of calf and shoulder/ankle injuries. Also, the LB Malik Harrison is out, and the WR Tylan Wallace is questionable to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers. By the looks of it, many star players have taken a hit, and Dalvin Cook couldn’t have been added to the roster at a better time.
