The Packers have an interesting history. In their chain of quarterbacks, Brett Favre won a Super Bowl in his 6th NFL season. Then came Aaron Rodgers, who also won the trophy in his 6th season. This year, it’s the 6th season for Jordan Love. Under him, the Packers qualified for playoffs four times, but couldn’t go past the divisional round. Will it change this year?

Green Bay is trying to change its results in the postseason. Jordan Love wants Davante Adams, Aaron Rodgers’s teammate. The receiver played 8 seasons for the Pack when A-Rod was there. However, in 2022, he moved to the Raiders as the veteran’s place was also in contention. After 3 years there, He reunited with his former QB at the NY Jets.

In December last year, Adams showed respect to Love during an interview with Kay Adams. He praised his playmaking and said, “The way they’re playing, the way Jordan’s played, the way he’s battled through adversity.” That’s right. Jordan Love took the team to the playoffs comfortably.

Even in the wildcard, they lost to the eventual Super Bowl winners, the Eagles, by 10-22. The season overall was great. But the QB and the HC Matt LaFleur want some more solidity. That’s why are turning back to their old soldiers.

In an interview with Kay Adams in early February, Jordan Love also praised the veteran receiver. He said if the Packers traded for Davante Adams, it would be fine. He said, “I’m not mad about it.” The WR’s performance this season was also good. In 11 games of the 2024 season, he recorded 67 receptions for 854 yards with 7 TDs.

WR1 surprise to strengthen Jordan Love’s O-line

Josh Jacobs, the premier O-line player for the Packers, surprised everyone with his demand for a solid player. A few days back, during an interview with the Milwaukee radio station 97.3 The Game, he said, “We’ve got a really young group of receivers; all can be really, really, really special. But I think, personally, we need a guy that’s proven to be a No. 1 already, somebody we know that’s going to be a little more consistent.” Well, he is not wrong.

Steelers’ George Pickens can fulfill that role for Jordan Love’s O-line. In 2022, he signed a 4-year $6.7 million rookie contract until 2025. So, the Black and the Gold can include him for this season too. But the trade momentum is picking up. The rumors are that the Packers could give 2nd and 5th-round picks to bring the receiver into the field. Crazy!
