The NFL teams are being plagued by injuries of their promising quarterbacks. After a stint of promising gameplay, sudden injuries can create a huge roadblock for the team’s Super Bowl ambitions. In such an instance, the New York Jets‘ highly anticipated trade of the off-season, Aaron Rodgers, suffered an Achilles injury in the very first game of the season, which ended his participation for the season.

Similarly, there have been several franchises that are plagued by injuries of their quarterbacks. In the 2023 NFL season, the quarterback injury count has moved to 8, with Trevor Lawrence’s injury on Monday being the latest addition to the list.  Are there more injuries to come?  

QB Injuries haunting the teams

The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered an ankle injury in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, this is the eighth instance of this season. MLFootball’s Twitter account shared a photo featuring the names of seven quarterbacks who ended their season due to their injuries. 

The quarterback, Joe Burrow, suffered a wrist injury. Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers came down with Achilles injuries. Anthony Richardson and Deshaun Watson suffered from shoulder injuries, and Daniel Jones suffered a knee Injury. The MLFootball’s Twitter account shared a photo by writing, “INJURIES SUCKS. They’ve derailed many team’s seasons this year.”
