The 49ers have re-enforced their chances of making it to the Super Bowl, beating the Kansas City Chiefs to it. The final 42-10 score proved that the 49ers are not a gimmick, and they have what it takes to make it to the Super Bowl this year. While the Eagles remain at the top of the list, who else can we expect to make it to the playoffs, and better yet, the Super Bowl?

Who is making it to the Super Bowl this year?

Pro Football Focus released some interesting stats and predictions about who is making it to the playoffs this season, and even better, predictions as to who is making it to the SB this year. Of course, the Eagles are at the top with a 10-2 record. Per PFF, the Eagles have a Projected Win Total (PWT) of 14.4, while they are making it to the Super Bowl for sure. Their chance to win the Lombardi at this point is about 26.02%.

Surprisingly, this year, the 49ers leave the Chiefs trailing behind them. The Niners have a PWT of 12.0. Their chance to make it to the playoffs is 99.33%, and there is a 12.55% chance that they might even win the Super Bowl. The SF team are just above the Chiefs, who have a PWT of 12.1 with a chance of going to the playoffs being 98.50% and a 15.64% chance of winning the SB.

Some teams that still have a shot of making it

First comes the Baltimore Ravens with a PWT of 12.2, with a 98.49% chance of making it to the playoffs and a 14.40% shot of winning the Lombardi this season. Then comes the Dallas Cowboys, a true wildcard! Per PFF, they have 6.76% chance of winning the Super Bowl and 97.74% chance of making it to the playoffs. The Dallas team has a PWT of 11.4 at this moment.

All these numbers are projected to bump up or go down anytime in the future. The Bonus addition to this list would be the Miami Dolphins, who have a PWT of 11.5, with a 94.8% chance of making it to the playoffs and a 6.87% chance they will win the SB. They are led by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have the same PWT as the Dolphins with a 96.3% chance of making it to the playoffs and a minute 4.13% chance of stealing the Lombardi.
