In the 2023 NFL season, the teams got exposed to their flaws and are willing to revive themselves in the upcoming 2024 NFL draft. Simultaneously, some teams are struggling to clinch victories. And one way to revive themselves is to pick promising players in the upcoming NFL draft. 

The New England Patriots and the Washington Commanders are two of the five teams that are preparing willingly for the upcoming draft. The Patriots are having one of the toughest seasons in the NFL books. They are standing six home defeats and are down with ten defeats and two victories. Patriots and Commanders looking forward to the 2024 NFL draft

The NFL Network’s X account shared a video where the breakfast table got into some early talks on the 2024 NFL Draft. The video was captioned, “It’s never too early to talk the NFL Draft. The breakfast table took a closer look at the current teams in the top 5.” In the video, they stated the Patriots to on the quest of revamping their roster from the upcoming February itself. In the upcoming draft, they will look to acquire a new QB. Overall, these would rest opon the new management and decision making. The “nature of QB” would also pla an important factor as the Commanders will also look to draft a QB. 

Three more teams are the Chicago Bears, the Carolina Panthers, and the Arizona Cardinals. Per talks, these five teams will look to strengthen their roster from the upcoming NFL draft that will take place in April. However, in the ongoing NFL season, these teams have struggled in the regular season. Their hopes of qualifying for playoffs have almost vanished, resulting in them eyeing the upcoming draft.

The ongoing 2023 NFL season

The Commanders are down with four victories and nine defeats. Whereas the Cardinals have three victories and ten defeats. The Bears are down with four victories and eight defeats and the Panthers are down with just one victory and eleven defeats. Until now, these teams are at the bottom of their respective divisions. The Panthers are already down the path to revamping their roster. The Panther’s team management fired head coach Frank Reich after their defeat against the Tennessee Titans.
