Ian Rapoport, a senior NFL insider, spoke to Good Morning Football regarding recent injuries. Geno Smith, the Seahawks’ QB, is dealing with a bruise to the back of his elbow. “Geno Smith returned for the final drive. That is a good sign.” However, the Seahawks have a short week and will be back in action soon on Thursday. Will he manage to recover by then?

Joey Bosa went down in the early minutes of the game and was seen walking off the field with tears in his eyes. Chargers fans feared the worst: an ACL or Achilles tear. However, Rapoport calmed fans by saying, “Injury is not always as bad as the reaction.” The X-ray results were negative, and he will undergo an MRI today.

How do the teams look without their key players?

The Seahawks have lost their quarterback and safety Jamal Adams on the defensive side. Adams had been listed as “questionable” on the injury report due to the lingering effects of the quadriceps tendon injury that brought his last season to an unfortunate end. With important players missing from the offense and defense, the Seahawks will have a tough time in the weeks ahead.

For Bosa, the injury came as a rude shock. He was on his way to becoming the most feared rusher in the league. He had also made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2019 to 2021. Fans hope the injury is not too severe and he returns to the field soon. Things look better for the Green Bay Packers as they have three backups who can replace Jones. But will they fill the Jones’ giant shoes?

I am a hardcore believer in the ‘Mamba Mentality’, which certainly applies to the NFL. The sport is not just about physical prowess but also demands a powerful mindset. Growing up, I spent time with athletes on the neighborhood soccer field.
