The Pro Bowl list of Quarterbacks is out! The NFL is organizing the Pro Bowl games for the second consecutive year according to the new format, with ten events taking place throughout two days. The event aims to inject more excitement into the competition, with various challenges on the list.

The NFL released its Pro Bowl players list on Wednesday. San Francisco 49ers signal-caller Brock Purdy and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson are the main attractions in the 2024 Pro Bowl rosters. According to NFL reporter, Ari Meirov, from NFC the quarterbacks listed are:

• Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers)
Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams)
Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys)

And from AFC, the list includes:

• Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens)
Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins)
Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)

Niners’ QB Brock Purdy got the most fan votes at 451,864, leading all players. On the AFC side, Jackson received the highest number of votes at 414,502. This Pro Bowl roster from the NFC side doesn’t have any big surprises to offer to the fans as the three mentioned players were expected to be a part of the games due to their splendid performances, even in the MVP race. However, some people feel there is a bit of disappointment in the AFC.

The Bills QB Josh Allen didn’t make the list for the Pro Bowl. Many football enthusiasts believe that Allen should have been chosen over Patrick Mahomes, despite the Chiefs QB being in fairly good form. But based on statistics, Mahomes, despite having the same touchdown score (27), is ahead of Allen in passing yards. The reigning MVP has 4,183 passing yards to show on his stats, while Allen has 3,947 passing yards this season. However, despite some criticism showing up, the excitement for the Pro Bowl remains at its peak.

Details of the Pro Bowl venue and events

All these six selected quarterbacks, along with other selected Pro Bowlers will appear in February’s events meet. This year, the games will be held in Orlando instead of Las Vegas, where the Super Bowl is scheduled to take place the following week. The competition will be returning to the state after 4 years, as it was last held there in 2020.

The team construction process will be similar to the previous format of the Pro Bowl, where the players will be showcasing their football and non-football skills. In total, 41 players, apart from QBs, are selected from each division (AFC & NFC).

These players along with the Pro Bowl quarterbacks roster will be playing Pro Bowl Games including precision passing, best catch, closest to the pin, high stakes, dodgeball, and kick tac toe on February 1, while Madden NFL head-to-head, gridiron gauntlet, tug-of-war, and moving the chains games are set to take place on February 4 of this year.

One take at a time

I resonate with movies, exploring places, and not missing a single NFL game. If the NFL is my love, then I have to say, ‘my love’ found me! I understand what it takes to be an athlete and perform at such a high level since I too have tasted small-time success in sports. As an athlete, I have bagged the coveted district-level championship in track events.
